(5 out of 5) SIG SAUER EQUINOX - I LOVE YOU
by from Seattle, WA on

ME: I know what Im talking about. Navy Brat - Dad was a member of the elite Seawolf HAL squad - the team the SEALs called upon for help in Vietnam. I owe all my SpecOps skills & knowledge to him. God, rest his soul.

USES: ECD/CC & Practice & Peace-Of-Mind

ASSESSMENT: Being a small woman with size-proportionate hands, the grip fits and sits fine without slips or having to add an ugly rubberized one. It slides out of a pancake, ankle, or waist holster with ease; especially easy to transport in a vehicle holster, for quick access. It's so small that it mounts virtually anywhere! I'm thinking of having a Smithy add a tac-clip and do away with the holsters while in my handbag or jacket. I'm a responsible weapons owner and stay in practice at the local ranges and clubs. I own/shoot many different firearms & calibers, but this one is my EDC. It's never jammed on me. It's never failed in any way. Keep using prime ammo and disciplined cleaning protocols to keep it in top shape. Its performance is so superior, I could neglect it, but why? When so much is on the line I love this SIG & chose the P938 over the P238 or other 38 models, mostly based on the economy of 9mm ammo. Besides, have you seen how pretty, good-looking, and TOUGH the Equinox looks in person?

IMHO: SIG has made art out of steel and wood, with a lifetime of expertise built in. I've seen the requests where folks are waiting to take advantage of a sale on this beauty. If it does go on sale, I may get another one. If the goal is to have this as your primary default, it is money in the emotional and personal protection bank no matter what the price. Of course, the best goal is to sharpen your situational awareness so to never be in a predicament where shooting means survival. The SIG Equinox is a great little tool I trust with my life. I pray I never need to test my faith on that statement. Better safe than sorry.
