These photos represent the average condition of these Yugo M48 7.9x57mm Mauser rifles, all of which are graded as excellent condition by the importer.
I've always had a soft spot for Mausers and this was exactly what I hoped it would be. This beauty was mint! The stock was perfect. No dents or dings, just a little bit of cosmoline in the nooks and crannies. There were only two small imperfections. 1. Missing front site hood. 2. Barrel was rusty inside. Took about 3 hours and some serious brushes to get the nastiness in hand. Rifling is still pitted, but good. I couldn't have been happier with my purchase.
Was worried buying a milsurp rifle online but my Yugo was in amazing condition. I can’t say every rifle was in excellent condition, but mine certainly was. Stock is in amazing condition, receiver was in amazing condition, the bolt was in great condition, just needed a good cleaning! BUT THE BORE & BARREL. The grooves in my barrel look brand new, honestly. I highly recommend buying one of these, I’m sure some are hit or miss, but mine is in amazing condition, BOLT, RECEIVER AND STOCK MATCH. It does say an M48, but mine had stamped floorplate which signifies an M48A, so that’s a bit confusing but I’m not complaining. Shoots great too. They included a great hard shell case too, which was a nice bonus. BUY ONE. YOU WONT REGRET IT.
Let me be the first to say buy them all at $400. Brand new barrels bright and shiny. Deep defined grooves. Stocks about average grade. Surface rust that required good electrolysis on outer barrel. Good detailing required. Stock is salvageable. But OMG this barrel makes me wanna buy 3 more. 2 groupings outdoors at 200 meters. Buy buy buy now now now.
