The last time I shot an M14 was 23 years ago in the Navy. It's just like riding a bike...you don't forget. So happy I bought this rifle! It's the right amount of nostalgia and fire-power. I like the iron sights, however a buddy at the 200 yd. range let me borrow his Trijicon MRO red dot. Wow....no parallax or adjustments and no magnification. It's a little more comfortable in target acquisition when standing or moving around. I may have to get an MRO soon. I fed the rifle 40rds. each of Federal, PMC, PPU and Fiocchi...no misfeeds, stovepipes or ejection failures. This is my second firearm purchase with SOSS and I am very pleased with the overall experience. Thanks Joe
