I have had a Ruger Mini 14 and a Mini 30, the 14 for 45 years, and have shot it a lot. I can honestly say that it has never, in all those years, misfired or jammed. Now I have the thinner barrel, and it may not be the most accurate gun I have fired, but it is the most dependable. I have killed many deer with it, however it is not my main hunting rifle. I got to where I carry it hunting because it is just plain fun to shoot. 150 yards in and it is a hit. NEVER HAS JAMMED.
