Ive put about 50 rounds through this gun so far and everything about it is incredible. The weight, balance, and sights made for very accurate performance. It has a great feel. Very happy with this acquisition!
Mine arrived early. I cleaned & lubed it from the test Fire soot. Didn't care for the cheezy orange sticker on the front sight & painted it with auto touch-up orange. Bought some after-market grips that are wider for my meat paws. Sighted it in at the range in very short order. This is an extremely accurate pistol!!! Went that weekend & dropped a few big ass hogs with no problem. Love this gun!!
The Taurus model 44 6.5" barrel is actually a 5" barely. The last inch & a half is an empty muzzle break with ported holes on each side of the front sight. There is a cheezy paper orange sticker on the front sight so I got an auto touch up paint stick and painted the nurled part bright orange. It has adjustable rears and I guess I got lucky. 3 groups at 50yds. I really love this revolver. I also have a Ruger Super Redhawk with a Burris scope and 7.5" barrel. Both are 6 round cylinders. The $619 Taurus is giving me better grouping than my $1250 Ruger!
This is a great gun and for the price you sure cant beat it. No need to pay a ridiculous price for other brands when this one does the job. And the customer service at Sportsmans Outdoor Superstore was great.
Good gun my only dislike is that the front sight has an orange sticker on it instead of an orange sight. Sticker came off after about 5 shots
Great gun. If it wasn't Taurus they could have charged a lot more. Shoots great, is accurate, and super easy to take apart and clean.
