The FN Five-seveN® pistol was developed in the early 1990s and features a cold hammer-forged barrel that is chrome lined for extended service life. The polymer-framed FN Five-seveN® offers single-action operation, low felt recoil, 20-round magazine capacity and is equipped with an ambidextrous, forward-mounted manual safety and an accessory rail that accepts tactical lights and lasers.
I'm not sure why I bought this gun but it's a blast to shoot! The only major downside is the price of ammo.
I love this gun. No failures to feed, reliable, and fun to shoot! Ammo is a little expensive to shoot but do to the low recoil it is easy to get tight grouping and easy to shoot. The one thing is that the sights are fixed but adjustable so, you might have trouble mounting a red dot to it. The sights also do stand a little high which is is a little hard to get used but I kind of like it. I think it makes for faster target acquisition. Another thing is the safety is up by the trigger. This is different than any of my other semi auto pistols. Due to the safety placement and size of the gun I would not use it as a CCW but the placement of the safety is easy to get used to just different.
