What’s in the Box

A team of the finest firearms people in the U.S.A. has been re-assembled to bring to market the highest quality AR type rifle possible. These good Maine folks - all former employees of Bushmaster Firearms - offer many years of experience in the industry, and all look forward to working with you, to serving your needs, and to building you a great rifle. And, Windham Weaponry, Inc. will back up that promise of quality with a Transferable Lifetime Warranty on their rifles.

The Windham Weaponry Carbon Fiber SRC was born out of the latest carbon fiber composite molding technology to bring you an AR type rifle of incredibly light weight - without sacrificing any Windham Weaponry quality, durability, accuracy or value. All the same high quality components of Windham’s standard models are married with carbon fiber molded receivers, and with their Lifetime Transferable Warranty, you can be guaranteed Windham Weaponry will stand behind its quality for a lifetime.

Firearm Specifications

Carbon fiber receivers will dissipate heat faster than aluminum have no surface finish to wear off and the carbon fiber composite has an inherent lubricity that enhances long wear. Windham Weaponry’s receiver molds were created at a state of the art design facility to yield a superior fit and function while utilizing many standard AR parts.

These Carbon Fiber Receivers retain all the recognizeable features of the AR platform but are molded with a unique “billet machined” appearance – think Darth Vader meets the AR world!

(5 out of 5) My first rifle
by from Crowley, Louisiana on

Like the title says, this is my first rifle and I researched several different makes. Having had handguns I was a bit apprehensive about getting a rifle. Having shot it yesterday for the first time, I can say I’m completely satisfied and happy with my purchase. Now looking to buy another but a different caliber. Maybe a 300 blackout. Any recommendations from anyone?

(5 out of 5) Dead On!!!
by from Belleville, Michigan on

I love this firearm. I have been using .223 ammo and have not had any problems. Once I dialed in my scope, it was bullseye every time. I am female and this is my preferred long gun over any pistol anyday. Super fun to shoot. The only downside is that I wish I hadn’t waited so long to purchase one of these!!!

(5 out of 5) 2000 rounds through this rifle.
by from Monroe, Washington on

When I came across this I thought it was too good to pass up. But was weary of how a carbon based composite would hold up after a long period of regular use. The upper seem to break in well after a few trips to the range. No supper alarming signs of wear. All in all, it's a good rifle for the price.

(5 out of 5) Great Rifle
by from Manchester, NH on

I ordered one based on the fact that the manufacturer was the former Bushmaster manufacturing facility. The quality is second to none! It's light weight, and worked fine when I was shooting in at the range at 30 degrees! I'd disregard the one star rating by Gage . I question his being an expert in lamination. His rating had more to do with a missing lock and money lost and there was no insight into the rifle. As he said, he rated it before even firing the figure what his rating is worth! This is a good quality rifle which I have fired and have no complaints about it or the quality!

(1 out of 5) Untested product, but sharing before others buy.
by from Houston, TX on

THE RIFLE: Have not had a chance to try it since it arrived, so performance rating is based on what others are saying cannot leave blank. Magazines fitment, and mechanisms seems to be right. BUT... have serious questions about the carbon fiber claim. I have years of education and experience to identify a laminate, and barely can distinguish between ABS plastic and the components from this rifle. Would love to take a sample and observe over microscope to confirm existence of fibers, and a matrix other than plastic. I may find a new CB material configuration not so obvious. Learned after purchasing that Windham DOES NOT include a safety lock with their firearms as almost all companies do. Reached manufacturer directly, and they mailed me a lock given police dept was out of free ones. Just something to keep in mind. THE STORE: Placed 2 orders in a short time frame. Both firearms arrived in a matter of days. Always getting responses to my questions so feeling great. BUT... have been barely 2 weeks since I got the rifle, the price dropped significantly, and just learned that Sportsmans only matches prices within 7 days. If the sale price is advertised on their weekly newsletter, don't even think about a refund and forget about the 7 days... After loosing the big chunk of money, it made me feel like another business collecting money, rather than a top notch customer inclined store as originally felt. Again, have not tried the rifle yet so hoping to get long hours of enjoyment to forget about my actual frustrations. This review is intended to share considerations with others that I failed to properly investigate ahead of time.

(5 out of 5) Windham Carbon Fiber
by from Winnsboro, Tx on

I have an AR-15 with the carry handle and I wanted a flat top also. I read and researched the Windham CF and thought I would give it a try. I really, really like this rifle! Quality, Lifetime warranty, price, I would order another one from Sportsmans Outdoor Superstore in a second!

by from Grants, NM on

This is our third Windham. Great rifles at an incredible price. I put a Vortex Strike Fire 2 red dot on this one, almost perfect with little adjustment. Shipping was quick.

(5 out of 5) Excellent
by from Boca Raton, Florida on

Excellent customer service. Arrived on time and in excellent condition. I always research before I buy and so far SOSS has the best prices on the planet. I have recommend SOSS to all my friends. The Windham Weaponry AR Carbon is an excellent firearm for the price. I put some iron sights on and went to the range and first 4 shots at 25 yards where within 6 inches. I highly recommend this AR.

(5 out of 5) Great Rifle. Great Price
by from phila, Pennsylvania on

I bought this rifle based on the reviews and the reputation that Windham weaponry has for quality. So far, it doesn't disappoint. I put a few clips through it at the range with no issues. Rifle is lightweight but handles recoil well. S.O.S. was having a great sale at the time, which made the decision that much easier. Windham's customer service is great as well. You won't regret it if you pull the trigger!

(5 out of 5) So far so good
by from Lyman, SC on

Ordered the WW-CF during the big sale and even though it also had free shipping paid the $29 for express since we had a range day scheduled in two days. Rifle shipped a few hours after ordering and arrived the next day. Have only been to the range with it once so far but ran 300+ rounds of various manufacture without issue and was getting sub-MOA groups at 100 yards. Scope was a cheap one that wouldn't hold zero so have since ordered a Vortex Diamondback HP during SOSS's last sale. Trigger is awful for target shooting as mil spec typically is so to keep with the low cost theme installed an ALG ACT trigger system and JP 3.5lb enhanced reliability springs which vastly improved it for just $75. Also got a CMMG .22 kit that is, to quote Early Cuyler, funner than hell! and lets me shoot at home.

(5 out of 5) great gun, great value, AMAZING service
by from Bloomington, IL on

These guys at Sportsmans Outdoors are just amazing. Great deal, quick and fast shipping under a week in IL, not an easy feat but most importantly AMAZING after the sale service. Not my first firearm/ammo purchase from SOSS, definitely wont be my last.

(5 out of 5) My Windham AR15
by from Columbus, GA on

Love this rifle. I researched AR15 rifles for about a month before choosing the Windham carbon fiber model. It is lightweight, comfortable to hold and easy to handle. Put a set of Magpul gen 2 iron sights on it and have had a great time with it. It is also very easy to break down and clean. Great service from Sportsman's Outdoor.

(5 out of 5) I love this weapon!!
by from Kyle, Tx on

I purchased this weapon two weeks ago and have been very pleased. I have already put 400 steel cased rounds through it with absolutely no issues. I would reccommend it to anyone. If you buy this rifle you will not be disappointed.

(5 out of 5) Awesome Firearm/Company
by from Roanoke, Virginia on

First of all this is my second purchase and I love this store! This is my first AR and I am very pleased with it! I love the lifetime transferable warranty and the quality from Windham Weaponry. The wife and I have put 100 rounds of .223 and 20 rounds of 5.56 through this thing without any problems. Temperature was around 45 degrees. I can't wait to save up enough money to buy another Windham Weaponry product! I have two in mind!!

(5 out of 5) Working man's AR
by from Briceville, TN on

I love this gun, easy to operate, shoots great. Having trouble finding a quad rail handguard that will fit it. Anybody know where I CAN FIND ONE?

(5 out of 5) Windham Weaponry 4 life
by from Las Vegas, NV on

For some of you people may not know this company is owned by the former Bushmaster owner. The quality is second to none. Very light gun and amazing quality from Windham. Well worth every penny. Does not have any more recoil than heavier versions.

(4 out of 5) Nice Rifle
by from Midland, TX on

Order and shipment from Sportsmans was pretty effortless and prompt. Good pricing for the weapon at the time. Weapon has performed flawlessly and is more than satisfactory. Have about 1500 rounds through it so far, and feel very good about recommending the Windham Carbon to anyone looking for a top notch lightweight 5.56 to tote around.
