The ARX100 features a constant contact/short-stroke gas piston system that makes it feed and fire under the most unforgiving conditions. The lightweight technopolymer receiver allows for reliable operation with virtually no lubricants. To make maintenance easy and trouble-free, this rifle has no pins and can be completely disassembled in a matter of seconds with no tools at all.

These include the 2-position safety, the magazine release, the bolt release and charging handle and the case-ejection selector, which determines whether spent brass is ejected to the right or left. The flip-up backup sights that come standard on the ARX100 are also versatile, offering an easily-adjustable diopter system ranged from 100 to 800 yards. The barrel is also easily replaceable in seconds, making is possible to use different lengths and calibers without any tools required. Lastly, the folding stock is adjustable for length of pull at the touch of a button, using a simple and rugged telescopic construction.

(5 out of 5) Great!!!

This rifle is a fantastic alternative to a standard AR15. 100% ambidextrous, if you want to change which direction the rounds eject from, you can. Too bad Beretta discontinued this rifle.

(4 out of 5) Great if it's what you need

I purchased my ARX 100 in March of 2018 when the prices dipped below $900. After years running around with an M16A4 and M4, I wanted something different for my personal use. Initially, I was thrilled with the rifle and its performance.
There started to be some hiccups after a couple months, however I shoot more than most and have something like 5-8k rounds through it 18 months later. One was the case it ships with. While it looks decent, it is not particularly high quality, nor does it have much in the way of storage. After 2 months, the zipper just separated from the fabric and I junked it, replacing it with a S&W M&P soft rifle case that has much more storage and has held up ever since.
I also began experiencing failures to eject after the first couple hundred rounds. It started with one every 100-200 and got progressively worse the more I fired. I initially thought it may have been magazine related as I have a large pile of old GI tin mags I had been using. I bought some gen 2 PMAGS and a bunch of Hex Mags awesome mags btw, since Gen 3 PMAGS aren't an option for this rifle and the problem persisted and intensified.
Finally, I contacted Beretta having never filled out the warranty card because I just forgot about it in my excitement and with no questions asked they gave me an address in MD to ship it to with details of my issue. Two weeks later I hadn't heard anything so I called to check on it. They informed me that there had been a manufacturing defect in the bolt face and they had replaced the entire bolt, tested it, and it was on its way back to me already. When I got it back the Beretta tech had even replaced the bottle of CLP that was in the case with a brand new full one. 10/10 customer service.
The only other complaints I've had about the rifle are the proprietary underbarrel rail that Beretta will sell you a pic rail that attaches to it....for another $30-something. That's kinda rude. And the stock badly needs a check riser. Fortunately, there is some genius on Ebay making them and they work perfectly. Since I got the rifle back it has been 100% reliable. The light weight makes it easy to keep on you all day, and it just keeps running even when it gets wet, muddy, or even can't be cleaned for extended periods.
The thickness of the front end is nothing like an AR so you WILL have to modify your grip if you're used to that platform. That said, different does not mean worse and with a top-mounted pressure switch, the risk of light ND is significantly reduced while it is still easily reachable by thumb even with my smallish meat hooks. This is a service carbine, not a marksman rifle. If you are looking for 1-2 MOA this is not what you're looking for. Go get a 20 M16A4 clone for the same money if that's what you want. Beretta says anything under 4 MOA is within spec which is true and will not do anything for you if it's shooting 3.75 MOA. The thing has a quick detach barrel. Of course its got some inherent inaccuracy.

Picked up my Beretta ARX 100 today and took it to the range; great firearm. Shot flawless out of the box with no feed/ejection jams. Only problem was after 150 rounds it became very hot and you had to re-position your grip, ordered a forward grip, that should solve the problem. Would recommend to anyone looking for a great fun to shoot rifle.

Amazing rifle, it's everything a left handed shooter dreams of and more!

(5 out of 5) Great Rifle
by from Ocala, Florida on

This Beretta ARX showed up in perfect shape, inside and out. Functions flawlessly for 200rnds, didn't even get hot. This rifle is loaded with features and when it comes to rifles, Beretta is top notch. Also came with a cool embroidered soft case.

(5 out of 5) Excellent
by from Lynnwood, WA on

Incredible buy. Light, solid, well built, and easy to disassemble. The gun has less muzzle rise than my ARs both gas and piston and quicker back on target, and zero hiccups. The recoil impulse is smoother than my ARs, similar to the KelTec RDB. No buyer remorse with this gun.

by from Tempe, Arizona on

Note: This review is about the Beretta ARX-100 and NOT Sportsman's Outdoor Superstore. Sportsman's customer service and shipping was outstanding, the rifle and Beretta are another story. This rifle looks and feels cheap, flimsy and very poorly made. Charging the rifle feels like clunky steel rubbing on cheap plastic because that is exactly what is happening. My rifles bolt carrier had most of the finish chipping off like old paint. It also had awful machine marks that I have never seen on a modern firearm. The barrel in my rifle also didn't fit correctly and wobbled around. I sent pictures of this to Beretta and they wanted me to send the complete rifle in to them and pay for it. This was just one of the issues I had with their poor customer service. Even though this rifle is marked down over 50%, clearly an indication of how poorly it is selling, I would avoid it and Beretta completely.

The ARX was listed at such an incredible price I could not resist. After taking the gun out for a shoot for the day, I was sold. There are mixed review about this Italian made 5.56 but I gotta tell you for the price it was very fun to shoot and was more accurate then I am.

Ergonomics are very different but they work. It's an accurate AR for sure. Would love to get another to add to my collection.

by from Davenport, Iowa on

I want another 223/5.56 gun but wanted something different then another AR. Don’t get me wrong I love my AR’s and in the future I will be purchasing more but just wanted something a little different. My son had pointed out the ARX 100 awhile ago and when they put it on sale he jumped on it. I liked it so much I purchased one. For $900 I couldn’t resist. I was not disappointed. I love the looks and the way it feels. It is lighter then my AR’s but feels very well built. It has shot anything I put through it so far. The gun is fun to shoot. I picked up the ARX 160 22lr to add to my 22 collection. On magazines, it will not take Gen 3 Pmag but will take Gen 2, Lancers, the Steel magazines I have and Hex magazines. I wish it took the Gen 3 but it isn’t a deal breaker for me. So if you want something in 223/5.56 but want something a little different then another AR this is it. I highly recommend this gun. For now I put a Burris AR-332 on it and purchased the bottom rail replacement from Beretta and put a Angled Grip on it. It had the WOW affect at the range and I got a lot of compliments on it. You can’t go wrong with this gun.
