Recently purchased the M&P 9c from Sportsman's Outdoor Superstore for my every day carry weapon. Pistol has a very great natural feel to it with the ergonomic designs and fits very comfortable in my hands. Pistol comes with 2 magazines, but will also fit other mags like the 17 or the 32 round promag. My wife also has this same pistol for her EDC weapon. The recoil is very manageable for her and she is instantly back on target for follow up shots.
Already put a couple hundred rounds thru the weapon with zero problems. Try this weapon out, you will not be disappointed with the Smith & Wesson M&P 9c.

You can also purchase this pistol with an external safety and a magazine safety, we went with the one without both of these options. I knew there was something wrong with the trigger when I picked this up. But S&W has great customer service so I took it home anyway. Not sure how this slipped through the QC checks.... The M&P compact is an amazing weapon. The powerful 9mm holds 12 rounds and comes with 2 magazines. I trust my life with this gun. It eats each and every type of ammo I have thrown at it. This is my second purchase of this gun, and I own both the full size and shield as well. The compacts larger capacity and small size make this my everyday carry!
After you replace the trigger group with the Apex it is even better. Guess that is why they have came out with the 2.0 and a better trigger in them. Other than that, it groups off hand less than 3 at 30 yards. I shoot it in IDPA in CCP and it's a great little gun.
If you only have a budget for 1 gun, this is the one. Small and light enough for every day carry. Big enough to be a duty gun if you use the full size 17 round Magazines with the extension sleeve. I have taken this through defensive pistol courses and IDPA competitions and never had a malfunction. Brass, aluminum, steel. What ever casing I have fed it, this gun eats it all.
This has been my EDC for 4 years now. Put thousands of round through it with no issues. The M&P platform is reliable and easy to maintain. Chose this over a Shield because I don't like the thin grips on a single stack. Not a huge fan of the 2.0 stippling, it's a bit aggressive for me.
