(1 out of 5) Safe opens up when hit on the corners near lock.
by Chad T. from Orlando, Fl on January 25, 2017

At first I thought I had found the perfect safety vault to use in my car. When I accidentally bumped the corner nearest to the lock against my seat bracket during retrieval from underneath, and the vault opened up on its own. I tried to duplicate the incident by bumping it against a hard surface and also by tapping it with a short piece of 2x4, and the vault opened up over and over again.! I just hope this is just bad QC and not common to the product.. Either way, to me, the HD-100 is nothing but an expensive paper weight that could've easily put me and my family in a very dangerous predicament during those times I was using it to secure my EDC.
