The resultant new pistol is a revolutionary platform for Ruger, one that utilizes the combination of a recoil-reducing barrel cam (which is designed to better spread recoil energy over time) with a low mass slide, low center of gravity and a low bore axis to provide an unparalleled shooting experience.

The Ruger American Pistol is an excellent pistol for the price. It shoots well and I LOVE the trigger.
You can't go wrong on this deal. Ruger quality at a great price. Top it off with outstanding customer service, what else would one need?
Love this pistol and new format. The comment about shaking hands with an old friend is too true! Put over 50 rds. through it with not one issue! Unlike the other 2 guys with their new XD and Bersa who had issues a few times. I guess it is obvious by now I'm a HUGE Ruger fan. Never have FTE or FTLs with any kind of ammo! Just buy one, you'll never regret it!!
It's exactly what you'd expect. Solid all around. Shoots straight, zero FTF. Trigger makes it go bang and that's all Ill say about that. Is it my favorite 9mm? No. Would I carry it if my preferred EDC was unavailable? Yes.
Second review. What's not to like? This is an awesome quality pistol. S&W, Glock have nothing over this new format. I have fired all 17 rounds as fast as I can shoot and it never fails. This is my favorite gun for many reasons.
Great delivery in a short amount of time. Just as an aside, you will need someone to take delivery. That cost me 25, but that was my gun store.
