The XDS 3.3 9mm Flat Dark Earth is the first single-stack polymer framed pistol from Springfield Armory®. In addition to the inherently slim nature of the design, the frame is a short sub-compact style, and the barrel is just 3.3 inches. The XD-S® Single Stack seems to disappear when you carry it.
The strengths of the XD-S® 3.3″ Single Stack don’t stop there. Try it with an X-Tension™ magazine (8 rounds 9mm Luger), and you’ll find that your carry pistol has grown into something that will astonish and delight you on the range. Its comfortable ergonomics – complete with two interchangeable backstraps – allow it to work without punishing your hands. The fiber optic front sight and white-dot rear sight align quickly and provide a clear sight picture for accurate shooting. The XD-S® Single Stack also includes the Ultra Safety Assurance (USA) Action Trigger System™, loaded chamber indicator, firing pin block, and grip safety that make the entire family of XD® pistols safe and easy to use.

I just bought this XDS. I went to shoot it and shoots to the left and 2 feet above. This is the second Springfield I have purchased and the 1911 I purchased I had to send back as well. I purchased both of these weapons from Sportsmans Outdoor Superstore, so sometimes cheapest price may not be the way to go.
I have been shopping for a EDC pistol for a while. I did the research and decided on this one. First off, SOSS is hands down the best experience. Ordered, and delivered in less than a week. I got the package with the Viridian laser, which installed on the range and was dialed in with one magazine. Pistol shoots great, deal was awesome, experience first rate! Thanks for all you guys do!
I was thinking the same thing. Why would buying a Springfield Armory pistol at a lower price make it any different than buying the same pistol for a higher price? And who ever heard of a handgun shooting 2 feet off? That's not even possible. The barrel would have to be bent! And with that short of a barrel, that wouldn't be easy to accomplish. Short barreled pistols aren't easy to shoot accurately. They take practice. Sportsman's Outdoor is a great place to buy your firearms, although they are super busy now.
This is my 3rd Springfield XDs. However, this is the 1st gun I purchased from SOSS. I was a little reluctant, but a friend highly recommended them. I saved over $100.00 on this purchase and couldn't be more happy with how easy it was to buy this gun online. SOSS preformed exactly as they advertise. I highly recommend SOSS. They are a quality company!
