This police trade in was described as very good, and although cosmetically it was indeed very good externally, mechanically it was heavily worn. The slide interior had some peening of the rails near the block and was the loosest fitting Glock slide I've ever seen, both symptoms of very high round counts. It was so loose that, when field stripping at the FFLs store upon receipt, it flew off and bounced off the glass counter to the floor when I pulled the trigger. And it wasn't pointed straight down, just at a slight incline. I haven't shot it yet but I don't expect very good accuracy. It also didn't come with a case which was unexpected and wasn't mentioned, although it did come with 16 yr. old night sights that still glow a bit, which was a slight bonus since it wasn't advertised with them. I've purchased trade ins from SOSS before with excellent results, so I was surprised to receive this one in this condition. I'm still a big fan of the store however, and will remain a regular customer. I realize that with recent high volumes and travel to the shot show, this probably just slipped thru the ratings and inspection cracks.
Mine was in great condition for the price! A few barrel smilies, but you can't break a Glock! Mine happened to have the NY Trigger which was 9+ pounds. I ordered a new spring and connector to drop it back down, less than $25 in parts.
I purchased this item. It was listed as in, VERY GOOD, condition. To be honest... it was in immaculate condition. Ok, there was a little color blemish at the front of the frame. BUT... the rest of the gun was in almost new condition. Of course, once I took it apart, I could see that it hadn't been cleaned since its last firing. But all in all, the gun was in great condition. I've bought a few other guns from SOSS, but this is the first USED gun. I am happy with my purchase.
Received the G17 trade-in yesterday. It is in almost new condition. No scratches or blemishes. Shows almost no wear on the barrel or slide. Came with 3 17rd magazines. Did kinda of miss the mag loader; no biggie. I'm definitely happy with the condition/price. Looking to buy more.
This is the first time I purchased police trade-in. I took it home and did a through inspection on it. Clean on the outside but I have never seen a firearm as filthy as this one. I completely disassembled it and did a through cleaning. Overall, it's in good condition. I'm sure it will run well now.
Received the pistol within days and it was in perfect shape. Minimal wear, if any, and was pretty clean. Only came with one mag so emailed them and they had second one out very quick. Did a complete break down and found the NY trigger which I wasn't familiar with but no biggie, I had already purchased the frame parts kit to have spares and extended controls. I opted to leave the NY trigger for now and took it to the range. Functioned flawlessly and didn't hate the trigger but will probably swap it out for the factory spring and try a ghost connector I have. Overall, great gun and great experience with SOS as usual.
