The new Walther PPS M2 LE Edition with Night Sights is everything you’re looking for in a compact handgun. The slim profile, push button magazine release, smooth trigger pull and Carl Walther signature ergonomics deliver the features that you want from Walther and are housed in a frame that fits just about anyone.
This was my very first gun. I was looking for the PPKs but none were available. The guy showed me the PPA M2 LE and the moment I held it in my hands, I found the handle slim and smoothly controlled. I said, I'll take it and took it to the range immediately. What a fun gun to shoot. It became one of my best concealed carry firearms. No one could tell I carried and I wear slim fit shirts. Buy it!!
its a Walther no more to say they are the best !!!!
Seth your knock on Glock sounds horrible, you admit Glock is the industry leader! You say now that everyone can “copy Glock” the real gun makers can make them, as if to say Glock is not real, which by anyone’s estimation sounds ridiculous first and foremost.
Walther had the polymer frame out before Glock and to Glock is real the realiablity of Glock is unmatched if you take the numbers of pistols sold and on the market then count number of FTF FTE FTF add to them all together Glocks failures will be minuscule they rarely fail and if they do it’s likely the failure of the owner and not the firearm.
You Glock haters kill me with the notion you believe Glocks are no good, but you're looking for a gun basically identical just with out their logo attached, it’s old!
Super happy with SOSS, ordered Monday afternoon and it was delivered to my FFL dealer Thursday. Walther makes a quality gun for sure. Easy to clean too.
So far I've put 100 rounds of 3 different brands of ammunition through it and not a single problem. Action takes a little getting used to, but after I slowed down and squeezed slowly I was getting good groups at 10-10 yards. I have fairly large hands and with the extended mag it feels great. Definitely going to be my go to conceal carry of choice.
Fired 150 rounds right out of the box. Nice grip in the hand. Easy to sight/aim to the target. Recoil is not an issue, as I'm a beginner with this particular gun. It was not a problem. Shoots nice. Not a bad target grouping for the first time firing it. Like this gun a lot. Feel I made a good choice for a 9 mm.
Just got done putting 200 rounds threw the pistol, so far works great with no problems, is a comfortable pistol for a compact. Fits my hand well, for the price from Sportsman's it was a great deal for a quality compact. Could not find anyone locally that would match the price within a $100.
Right out of the box, I knew that the PPS-M2-LE would be my EDC from the time I put 3 mags down range....from feel to function as well as accuracy. ....I will carry this Walther every day...
I love the feel of my new PPS m2. Shoots nice groups with little effort even at 20 yards. I just ordered one for my wife cause she likes it so much!
Quite a bit slower to ship than other online gun retailers but overall I am satisfied. The gun shoots well but the night sight broke on the first box of ammo. Lost one of the phosphorus inserts. Still waiting for Walther to contact me for a replacement.
These just feel great in the hand, even the older Classic PPS, which has a rail on the frame. Everything about these is better than the Glock 43, and I own them both. I will buy another PPS long before I buy another G43. The grip on the PPS is well thought out, and feels great in the hand. The slide has front serrations. This has night sights. The Glock needed sights and grip tape just to make it usable. It was horrible in cold weather.
The PPS M2 was awesome. The trigger, grip angle, grip shape, slide, sights, magazines are all better than Glocks 1970s based designs, that actually look like they were designed by a curtain rod maker. Glocks patents have expired and now the real gunmakers can use them. I am going with the guns made by real gun makers. I am sick of buying Glocks, and then agonizing over how to make the darn things usable, and how much more money to spend replacing cheesy plastic sights, putting inner tubes, & tape on the grips, trying to make the trigger better, and get a useable gun out of an already overpriced gun. Just buy a Walther, get some tritium sights and be done with it.
I bought a Glock in the mid 1980s. They were pretty awful. In 1987 you had zero aftermarket Glock goodies. The metal inserts in the frames broke, rendering the guns useless, and it took Glock 10 years to sort out some super serious problems. Only the Glock Gen 3 was not recalled, or as Glock puts it voluntarily upgraded which is a super sleazy term for a safety recall.
Walther got it right with the PPS! Walther recalled their CCP, and fixed it. Now it's great gun too! Walther doesn't use weasel words like voluntary upgrade. If it's a safety issue, they come right out and say it. Glock worms around the issues. Rather than get my gun experience from movies & TV I go to the range, rain, shine, sleet, snow, ice, mud, hail, I don't do extreme heat anymore at my age, and I don't care if the wind is blowing my targets into the next county. It just makes them more challenging to shoot at. I actually just use more staples.
These little PPSs and the CCP, and the PPQ, and PPX, and P99 are all good guns even when my hands are so cold I can't get a good grip on anything. They are good with sweaty slippery hands, or in the rain. Sometimes I drive 600 miles to shoot at unsupervised ranges. Bad weather is not going to stop me from shooting. I have had 3 Glock frames break in extreme cold weather. Walther ZERO! The older PPS 40 was also an excellent backup gun.
Glock is late to the table with their model 43. I almost regret buying the G43 too. I have no regrets with any Walther purchases, and that includes some 75 year old .22LR German National Socialist Party Walther training rifles with magazines that cost over $350 each. I don't even know what they are. They are awesome neat .22s that have the same controls as a Mauser 98.
I have several Walther handguns and Walther has really hit the mark with LE edition PPS 9mm. Great gun at a really great price! Shot 300+ rounds with it, right out of the box and it performed flawlessly. Highly recommend!
Bought this gun from SOSS over the weekend. I had it in my hands on Wednesday. I have a Sig P938 which I like but, I've had some issues with it that won't let me trust it for CCW anymore. I have a PPQ M2 5 which is the best shooter I have so I decided to order the PPS M2. I was NOT disappointed in this gun in any way. Fits my had well, even with the slim mag. And with only 100 rounds of 155 & 124G rounds... I was hitting the 10 spot at 12 yards. Can't beat that for a SS Sub compact gun. And the recoil on it, compared to the P938 is almost non existent.
Did lots of research online. All reviews were comparable if not better than S&W and Ruger. Love this Walther. Wife likes it too. My new CC.
If you are looking for a single stack 9mm and have big hands, this gun is for you. For me, the trigger reach was about 1/2 inch too long. Otherwise, I would definitely kept it. Solid build quality with excellent fit and finish, extremely reliable. I put about 600 rounds without any misfire. The LE version gives you three mags, with 7 and 8 rounds in addition to flush 6 round mag. Also, the phosphor night sights are very bright, although tritium sights would have been nicer. Only con is that compared to Glock 43, this thing feels like a boat anchor, although in reality, its only about 3 ounces heavier. Therefore, if you can deal with extra weight, this is a superb CCW choice.
