The SCCY CPX-2 is designed for shooters who prefer a concealed carry pistol without an external safety. The CPX-1 and CPX-2 models are identical in all other aspects of specifications and performance.
... To Cynthia who doesnt like the color of her SCCY:
Cynthia, I feel your pain. But as you likely chose the CPX-2 to defend your life, reliability is a hundred times more important than color.
You made a good choice in buying a SCCY. It's an excellent pistol! It's completely reliable, accurate, and with its long double action trigger pull, very safe to use without fiddling with mechanical safeties. For $200 bucks, you have a pistol that will go bang every time you pull the trigger. A lot of $600 dollar pistols won't do that.
I own a SCCY, and have carried it for over five years. I've run more than 2500 rounds of ammo through mine at the range. I like the gun, and am completely confident in carrying it.
I'm guessing you might be somewhat new to firearms. No matter, welcome aboard! Remember, though, Cynthia, that buying a pistol doesn't make you a pistolero any more than buying a guitar makes you a musician.
Find a good range, and shoot a lot. Better still, take some basic pistol courses at your local range. Many ranges have courses aimed at new hand-gunners.The NRA has courses for new users, and some are for women who want to be responsible for their own safety. Besides taking courses, find a local range and practice regularly. There is no substitute for practice.
My SCCY is in black, but I might be convinced to get a second to match my blue eyes. Best of luck, Cynthia.
I picked this gun mostly based on the color, and the color is no where near the same. It was supposed to be crimson red and it's maroon.
