Have had my eye on one of the police trade-in Sig Sauers for awhile now. Finally pulled the trigger on it and couldn't be happier. The Barrel is slightly worn and there are a few minor blemishes on the trigger guard, but looks great outside of that. Would have given a 5 star review, but the firearm was advertised as very good condition and think that was slightly misleading. Regardless, very very pleased overall and would absolutely recommend to potential buyers!
First off, the gun performs like it should but I completely stripped it and cleaned it. It needed alot of cleaning. It is not in very good condition, I would rate it good condition. It doesn't have holster wear but it does have small scratches and dings generalized over it. It even has small scratches at the tip of the barrel but to get them there it would have had to be dropped while it was out being cleaned. Has large gash on the frame under the grips. Has hogue rubber grips which are well worn, even one of the grip screws is stripped. Again doesn't affect performance but it is not in very good condition!
I purchased this gun last December, and have put quite a few rounds through it since then. The gun I got was in great condition, with very minor wear on the front strap, trigger guard, and pic rail. The night sights were dead, but thats to be expected for a 10+ year old pistol. All in all, I'm very happy with the gun - if you want a Sig 226 and don't mind .40, get one of these while they're still available.
