In collaboration with Ernest Langdon, The Beretta PX4 Compact Carry was developed with custom features to offer a lightweight hammer fired concealed carry gun.
Ernest has been a been a long proponent of Beretta DA/SA pistols for their accuracy, reliability, and safety. The PX4 Compact was a natural choice as the base of this project because of its rotary barrel design, ammo capacity and smooth trigger pull. Incorporating the stealth levers, night sights, and a lightened trigger pull makes this flat shooting pistol an ideal concealed carry gun.
Though it is completely concealable, the Compact offers a full grip for most shooters. The Compact offers full 16 round capacity (15+1 in 9mm), an accessory rail, low-profile slide stop, new integral and retractable lanyard loop, and a cold hammer forged barrel for ultimate precision.
The Compact also houses the Px4 family’s rotating barrel system. This system allows for in-line feeding for unparalleled reliability. The rotating barrel system leads to radial dissipation of recoil energy resulting in a significant reduction in felt recoil and muzzle rise.

WOW! I almost forgot the last time I had a brand new pistol chamber rounds and go into battery this smoothly right out of the box, but this one slides the rounds in and locks up, with the slowest movement of the slide. Its magical! Shooting it is also magical. The rotary barrel lock, makes it seem to shoot like a much heavier steel pistol. It shoots so nice and flat the slightly higher bore axis is a total non-issue.
This is the G, for decocker only, EL for Ernest Langdon, GEL prefix, P4 Compact Carry special edition. The tough grey Cerakote slide looks elegant with the black poly frame, and the dayglow orange front night sight makes visual acquisition of the front sight fast, and almost effortless. The back sight is blacked out. It also comes with the M9/PX4 competition grade trigger package and a lightweight hammer.
Shooting it is pure joy. I almost forget it is a polymer pistol. It's not a Sphinx 3000, or a Sig P210 Master, but it is a sweet shooting pistol, and the compact size is still very accurate, despite the shorter barrel and sight radius. The styling is a tad European, modern, Italia, but it looks almost as good as it shoots.
I also put a different main spring in all my PX4 Storm, courtesy of the experts at Wilson Combat! Let it Storm! The Monsoon is coming! Follow up shots are lightning fast with the Storm, and its low recoil, and high visibility front sight! Maybe a threaded barrel to tame the thunder.
For now I need to replace some tools that were stolen from my truck $5000+ and counting. That thief had better be content with what he got, and stay away. He rifled the glove box really well, and knows, I am a luthier, gunsmith, ham radio operator, and electronics repairman. I also shoot X's for dollars, and we do have Castle Doctrine. I'll put up cameras, because deadly force & violence is always a last resort, and anything to deter them is preferred over using either one. God bless, happy, safe and legal shooting to all. It kinda sucks, because this gun is almost too nice to carry, but I'll save up and buy a lowly Glock. LOL I like Glocks too.
For a compact I am shooting this like a trickshot artist now. Shooting empty 8 oz protein shake bottles, flipping them into the air, and hitting then 1,2 or ever 3 more times before they land, from 10-15 yards away. THIS PISTOL IS AMAZING! I spent an hour in a UDOT gravel storage area putting holes in plastic bottled the size of a human heart from 10-20 yards away with 85% accuracy, including mid air shots, and 100% accuracy if the bottles are not moving. I am confident this piece will neutralize any attackers, expediently with extreme accuracy, and without prejudice. I am buying a full sized PX4 now, and installing the polished plated spring & parts kit, trigger group, hammer, trigger and sights of the Langdon Compact Carry Model, and I may do a basic black Compact the same way.
THESE ARE AWESOME GUNS! I LOOK LIKE A PROFESSIONAL SHOWMAN WITH THIS PISTOL! IT MAKES HARD SHOTS SO EASY THEY ARE FUN! This is the trick pistol to my Beretta sporting clays shotguns.
Absolutely My favorite pistol! It feels better and shoots more accurately than anything I have ever owned. Everything that I disliked about the original Storm has been addressed, including the price and how long it took to get to me. This awesome gun was great. I will be a returning customer.
