The brand new Springfield XD-E 9mm is the first pistol in the XD-Series to feature a DA/SA action. It's only slightly larger than the popular XDS pistols, but still small enough to be concealed as an everyday carry pistol. The grip on the new XD-E pistol also features Springfield's proprietary, and highly optimized GripZone® texture, which helps to improve handling and accuracy.

Looked everywhere for the Springfield XDe finally found one at Sportsman's Outdoor Superstore. Ordered it on Monday, July 24th with free shipping. Standard afterwords. Wanted to change shipping preference to select 2 to 3 day shipping. Sent email within hour, and received reply. It had been changed and shipped. received the gun at my FFL on Wednesday, July 26th. Will definitely use Sportsman's Outdoor Superstore again. Great price for the gun and love it.
I have several Springfield XD models, and recently tried the XDs in 9mm, which I was not impressed with. Gave me fits at first with FTFs and more, but I think I finally got it running right. Took a chance on this, the XDe, and I'm VERY pleased with this gun. Normally I clean new guns before I shoot them, but I picked it up on my way to the range, and just couldn't wait. Out of the box it performed flawlessly. Feels good in the hand, good, crisp trigger, flawless performance, and excellent accuracy. I'm an old-school guy who likes DA/SA, and this little beauty didn't disappoint me. Trigger pull isn't overly heavy in DA, and it isn't too light in SA. I might just get another!

Gun is very good, but I CANNOT find a holster for it. I like paddle holsters.

I bought this to replace my S&W M&P Shield 9mm as a conceal carry for a few reasons. The obvious one is that it carries a couple more rounds. The second is that its hammer fired and I really like this because I appendix carry with one in the chamber and I know striker fired gun are very safe, it's a nice piece of mind having one in the chamber with the lever decocked being in the position I carry it. If I were to ever be in a situation I had to draw and fire quickly, one shot in double action right into single for the rest. The trigger is amazing! Very clean, crisp, and has very little travel before the next round goes off. I like the sights that come with it however for a concealed carry I will be upgrading to night sights but thats just a personal preference. I had to change anything about the gun Id say make it a double stack mag to fit more rounds. It's not much thinner than my Glock 19 so Id take the extra thickness for an additional 5-6 rounds. Research Youtube has a few well made reviews on the gun for more information.
