The Striker-Fired SD9 now features a gray frame! The SD9 is a direct evolution of the Smith & Wesson SD, and its overall design has an improved self-defense trigger, and a comfortable, ergonomic, textured gray frame grip. The SD9 also features an improved stainless steel barrel and slide, which were not standard on the original SD.

I purchased this as a concealed carry, personal defense/self-defense handgun, back in August 2019. Reasonable price at $269.99, here at Sportsman's Outdoor Superstore. Since then, I installed an Apex Trigger Kit, and Tritium Night Sights. Shoots approximately 1/4 inch low but, that may just be the way that I'm pulling the trigger`;` long trigger pull all the way to the back. Fun to target shoot at the practice range.
The S&W SD9 is a decent, affordable pistol, that is reliable`;` it's a good choice for those on a budget. Comparable to, and as good as Glocks but, Made in U.S.A. and not as expensive.
