(1 out of 5) Won't eject fired casings
by from Phoenix, AZ on

Since I purchased the rifle it wouldn't eject fired casings. Cycles un-fired casings just fine. I have sent the rifle to Ruger 3x !! They did replace the bolt for me and customer service has been easy to deal with, but after three tries and the same problem continuing I'm giving up with this thing.

(5 out of 5) Fantastic rifle
by from Valdosta, GA on

Off the bat I ordered the rifle on a Monday & chose the free shipping, exactly 7 days later I received the rifle at my FFL, great shipping by SOSS. The rifle itself was fairly easy to strip down and clean, which is always a plus.
Now we get to the bread and butter of it all, it shoots DAMN good! Using Wolf & Tula 123 HPs, I was able to obtain 2 MOA @ 100 yards all day long. To be able to do that with low quality ammo is incredible, which makes me love the rifle even more! Overall it's a great little gun to have for hunting, plinking, etc. If you're on the fence about it go ahead and pull the trigger on it, you won't regret it.

(1 out of 5) Could have been a winner.
by from Reisterstown, MD on

I hate the fact that Ruger does not provide an option for iron sights. In their typical Ruger arrogance they know what is best for their consumer and are not willing to compromise. Thing is, if you drop this rifle or your batteries die, it is useless. You have no way of using it with any degree of accuracy. If Ruger provided iron sights and a model that was able to use AK clips, instead of crappy Ruger clips that jam all the time this could have been a real all around winner. But I guess Ruger knows whats best...

(5 out of 5) Great youth deer gun
by from Knob Noster, MO on

I bought this about a year ago from Sportsman's Outdoor Superstore. Picked up a spare ten round mag aftermarket and simply love this short little rifle, ammo is cheap, typically 4 bucks a box and even with the cheap stuff, it's shooting 2 and under groups at 100 yards!

(5 out of 5) HOG KILLER
by from Arlington, TX on

Bought this rifle to hunt hogs in Texas, and it has served me well. Use for shots under 200 yards, and it is accurate. Put a 1-6X scope on it, and great for climbing tree stands, or sitting in small box blinds , due to its short overall length. I also bought the Ruger short flash hider for it, and works great, shooting in the dark. Love this gun.

(4 out of 5) Does the job
by from Yuma, Arizona on

Several hundred rounds of Tula and Wolf rounds through it with no problems, other than the magazines being finicky at times with certain hollow points. 2 MOA with Russian surplus, would be 5 stars if the Mini 30 magazine it uses was designed better.
