(5 out of 5) Everyday carry
by from Rockmart, GA on

My MP9 M2.0 functions perfectly with no issues. It has feed and fired any 9mm I have put through it. My choice is the Fort Scott TUI 9mm ammunition. My wife and I feel totally safe at home and when out with our choice of protection.

by from Stafford, VA on

I put around 3k rounds to this pistol and It performed very well, no issues. I used all types of ammo specially cheap Russian ammo. I love my M&P M2.0.

by from Denton, TX on

Not much to say besides that I am beyond satisfied. The M&P lives up to its name.

(5 out of 5) Loves it.
by from Austin, TX on

Ditched all my Sigs to carry this. What a great gun. No malfunctions and easier to shoot than my x compact with a wilson combat grip. The grip is a little too textured for me, it grabs my shirt. I just sanded it down with some 2000 grit and now its great. Cant even tell and it still works awesome.

by from Taylors, SC on

Absolutely a great gun. I keep pushing and she just says more. No hiccups at all. Shoots everything thats been put in the mags.

(5 out of 5) My EDC
by from Houston, TX on

I really enjoy shooting this gun. It is my EDC. It is easy to maintain. Easy to deep clean. Shoots very well. The grip is very aggressive but keeps the gun firm in your hand when you are sweaty. I have put 10K rounds through the run, not one fail to feed or fail to battery.

by from Lincolnton, GA on

This recent purchase, although a little slow in shipping probably because of all that is going on these days, was painless and the price was much better than the current price. The M&P 9 Compact is super in every way including accuracy and reliability`;` I couldnt be happier with this gun.

(5 out of 5) A Superior Work of Art
by from Chicago, IL on

Indeed a superior work of art, the M2.0 is a gun designed to be your lover, your provider, your confidante, your bestfriend, your business partner, etc. What Im trying to say is . . this gun does everything short of dieing for your sins. The way the grip refuses to fail the curvature of your hand. The soft, unnoticeable recoil. The natural point of aim. Smith and Wesson have truly outdone themselves. The only thing, and I mean only thing one might want to add, is some stipling for a thumb index point. Now, be a human of class and buy this now!

(5 out of 5) The gun is perfect, but the package is poor
by from Chicago, IL on

As I mentioned in the previous feedback, the package is poor. But, based on the range experience, the gun is perfect!

(2 out of 5) Super poor package
by from Chicago, IL on

Just got the new Smith & Wesson MP9 M2.0 Compact. The package is so cheap!! Just like a paper toy box. There is even no a plastic box with foam, Unbelievable! How can the pistol be protected It is looks much worse than Sig Saucer, Beretta, Glock and Springfield. The Smith&Wesson company is so careless. I dont trust the quality.

(5 out of 5) Great alternative to the Glock 19
by from Saint George, UT on

I had been trying to decide between the Glock 19, the CZ P-10C and maybe even the P-07 and this one. Before I made up my mind based solely on features, this one went on sale and that made up my mind. I had actually been leaning towards this S&W due to some really great reviews on Youtube....particularly the one by Honest Outlaw....he really praised this pistol.....I now  know why.
This pistol is so cool looking, the grip is outstanding. I actually really like the trigger....and, for some reason, I shoot this thing really well. The pistol has been 100% reliable for me and I carry it every day. Love it!
And lets not forget the deal here at SOSS. When I went to pick it up at my local gun store, I apologized to the guys for not buying it from them and they said....No apology necessary. For that price, I would buy from SOSS too. They even said that the price I paid was less than what they can get it for. Sweet. Completely satisfied.

(5 out of 5) This should be in everyones collection!
by from Seattle, WA on

Don't miss understand I love compacts, for a long time I have been after a Glock 19. Fired this at a range and fell in love. It's everything I was looking for in a compact, light, fantastic trigger, super fun to shoot. The grip is insanely aggressive, which I like, but it may not be the idea for all.

Great as an EDC, but the aggressive texture can be nasty on the skin. Either suck it up like I have or find away around it, wear a tuck in shirt, OWB holster or something. In my personal opinion, the only compact I prefer to this in 9mm is the SIG P930 XCARRY. BUY BOTH!!!

(5 out of 5) S&W M&P 9m M2.0 compact
by from Carnesville, GA on

Love this gun, got a great deal at Sportsman’s Outdoor Superstore. I’ve only put 450 rds in it so far but it’s flawless , has low recoil , hand grip is great, good trigger , been shooting the cheapest target ammo and no jams . I’ve put a Olight pl mini on the rail , looks like it was made for this pistol. If you haven’t tried out the M2.0 compact pistol do it, you’ll be glad you did.

Gun showed up at FFL in perfect condition. Painless transfer and gun shoots great. Black Friday price was the lowest I had seen anywhere. Nice job SOSS...

(5 out of 5) Great all around gun!
by from Trinity, NC on

I bought this gun back in July and have loved everything about it since I have had it. It is fun to take to the range and has run fine without any problems with any and all ammo I have put through it. It feels great in the hand and the aggressive texturing keeps it in place when your hands are sweaty. It is also a great gun for concealed carry. I have been using the Tier 1 Concealed Agis, and it conceals extremely well and is super comfortable. I cannot say enough about how great this gun is.

As far as SOSS goes, I could not be more pleased with the service I received. Order was placed and my FFL had the gun within a week, and that was over the weekend. I am very impressed with SOSSs turn around time on orders. I will definitely be shopping here for any future gun buys.

(5 out of 5) Great service and nice gun
by from Jacksonville, NC on

This is my second gun from Sportsman's Outdoor Superstore. Ordered on a Wednesday afternoon and my FFL received the gun on Friday! Have only been to the range once with this gun. Approximately 200 rounds with 0 failures. Nice shooting gun!

(5 out of 5) Game Changer
by from O Fallon, MO on

Before I go into the product review. I would like to say that I have made several purchases from the Sportsmansoutdoorsuperstore.com and my experience with their staff has been nothing less than stellar. Thank you for time and attention and for providing world class customer service on a consistent basis.

Gun Review: Smith and Wesson has a game changer in the M&P9 2.0 compact pistol. I have had it out twice now since i purchased it and have put around 250 rounds through it without any hiccups. Eats the cheap stuff just as well as self defense ammo. The only marks against the pistol which one of them is also a plus is the grip. The grip is a little aggressive for my taste if one was to carry it, however the solid purchase you get from the grip outweighs any negatives in my opinion. The trigger I hear is better than the 1.0 version. But I can't compare since I don't own and haven't shot one. It took me a few rounds to get used to it. The trigger on the 2.0 isn't bad, however in my opinion, Glock is still better.

If you are in the market for the compact size firearm, I would strongly suggest you give the M&P9 2.0 compact a serious consideration. I have owned mostly Glock pistols and I have shot nearly all their 9MM offerings from the G43 up to G17 and to be honest in my opinion this firearm is as good if not better than its competitor the G19 at a bargain price. S&W hit a homer with this one.

(5 out of 5) Great experience, SOSS!
by from Greeley, CO on

This was my first experience ordering from SOSS and it was excellent. Great price, very easy to order, and fast shipping. I placed the order on Sunday and the pistol arrived on Thursday at my local FFL dealer. Couldn't have been better. I will certainly use SOSS again in the future. Very positive experience. Thanks! Review of the S&W M&P compact will follow after some range time with it.

(5 out of 5) Unbeatable pistol
by from Greenwood, IN on

There are several guns that shoot just as well as the M&P 2.0 series but they are way more expensive. The $399 price tag at SOSS makes it a no brainer. This gun feels more natural in my hand than a G19 and it shoots flat with very little felt recoil. I was prepared to put an Apex trigger in this gun but there’s no need. The trigger is very smooth with a fairly short and tactile reset. The pull weight is nearly perfect for a carry pistol with no external safety. The sights are 3 dot, metal, dovetail sights. They are easy to pick up but if it is your EDC you might want to consider investing in night sights. To top it off it is made right here in the USA, that alone is a huge selling point for me. My only gripe is that the slide doesn’t always stay locked back after the last round is fired. I shoot with my thumb almost over the slide stop so I believe this is user error and no problem with the pistol.

(5 out of 5) Changed my mind about striker fired pistols
by from Cleburne, TX on

I first shot the full size model a friend has. I was for the first time ever, impressed with a striker fired trigger. I have carried Kimber 1911s for all of my adult life. I have despised striker fired trigger pistols all these years because all I had tried were Glocks, which I hate. They are ugly and if I spend $500 + on a pistol, I shouldn’t have to then spend $150 + for a usable trigger. SO, shot the full size model with the M2.0 trigger and decided to buy the M&P 9 Compact M2.0. I was shocked at how intuitive double tapping with consistent 1”-2” groups were. This trigger could be better, sure, BUT it is still very good and the first Striker fire pistol I have ever not only liked but love to shoot.

Its size is perfect for concealed carry and its weight is negligible. If you’re needing an easy to shoot, easy to carry and VERY Inexpensive pistol, The S&W M&P 9 compact M2.0 is an exceptional deal at $399! I am an FFL dealer myself and my wholesale price is $425 plus shipping, plus I would have to pay tax. In a nutshell, BUY this gun!

(5 out of 5) Superlative Product
by from Houston, TX on

As a relatively new comer to the handgun market, I did extensive research and tried out several different handguns at my gun club over a period of six months. My online research kept bringing up the M&P 2.0 Compact over and over again. However, my gun club did not carry this gun, and could not say when they would obtain one for me to try out. The reviews I had read were so good that I was hesitant to make a purchase commitment without having tried out the M&P 2.0 Compact at least once. Therefore, I found a gun range that did carry the M&P 2.0 Compact, and gave it a work out. I have to tell you: I was sold in just one range session. I immediately placed an order with Sportsman's Outdoor Superstore (SOSS), who had the lowest price for the M&P 2.0 Compact anywhere in the country. My online and telephone inquiries were promptly and professionally addressed, the ordering process was very simple, there was no extra delivery fee, and the gun arrived at the designated FFL on the day as promised.

SOSS has definitely earned my admiration and future business. I have now just completed the first hundred rounds with the M&P 2.0 Compact, and believe me I achieved the best groupings of my life, even better than what I managed to do with full size handguns, and this is coming from a guy who has yet to master trigger discipline, sight alignment, focus, etc. The gun feels like it was tailor made for my hands, the size is perfect for me. it is not heavy, nor is it so light that you cant hold you aim. The trigger is crisp, and you feel the definite wall before the weapon discharges. Although the recoil is a bit stronger than the G19, it is nothing to complain about. I did not encounter any problems throughout the first hundred rounds. I am really glad that I waited to try out the M&P 2.0 Compact before purchasing my gun, and I am extremely pleased with my purchase.

If you are going to buy only one handgun ever, I would strongly recommend considering the M&P 2.0 Compact by Smith & Wesson, and I would also highly recommend SOSS as the place to buy it.

I have fired around 1,000 rounds of different brands and a lot dry fire without any issues. Very easy to concealed carry.

(5 out of 5) So good it's my new EDC gun.
by from Brooklyn, WI on

Bought this about a month back and Ive been carrying it in an appendix carry rig. I bought this over the Glock 19 because I liked the feel of the trigger more and the grip. I have put about 600-700 rounds through this gun already Brass, steel, and Aluminum casings and I have not had one issue with this gun. I also found that after outing so many rounds through the gun, that I no longer want to put the apex flatty trigger in it as I had originally intended. S&W really did a great job improving it. I would highly recommend this gun, especially the price offers by SOSS. I bought mine at gander outdoor for about 500$, so it's a great deal through here.

(5 out of 5) Glock 19 killer

This pistol has officially replaced my Glock 19. The M&P is 100 percent more ergonomic in every way and extremely easier to shoot. This pistol has 500 RDS through it and has performed flawlessly. I am very happy with this pistol.

Holy crap!! I ordered my gun on Saturday, it was shipped on Monday and I got notice it would be delivered on Wednesday. I checked free shipping, nothing expedited. No need to pay extra for expedited shipping with that kind of customer service. These guys are great. And I keep checking to see if I can find a better price AND I CANNOT. by from San Antonio, Texas on

My only complain minor. Compared to my Shield 45, the 2.0 9mm compact trigger bow is too curved for comfort, and breaks further back than Shield 45. That is only issue I have with otherwise great pistol.

(5 out of 5) Excellent Sidearm
by from Sun City West, Arizona on

This pistol has been completely reliable never failing in any way to load, fire or eject for the 1,000 rounds sent down range so far. The balance is excellent allowing for quick realignment after recoil. Accuracy is outstanding!

(5 out of 5) Great right out the gate!
by from Mesa, Arizona on

Purchased firearm on a Friday and picked it up on Tuesday! Immediately put about 200 rounds through it without a single FTF nor any mishaps. I shot left so the fact that the slide controls are on both sides, and the clip release is easy rotate was outstanding. The triggers great but will most likely put in APEX flat face trigger some time down the road but great out the gate.

Awesome service as usual from Sportsman's Outdoor Super Store. The M&P 2.0 Compact is my new Go to Gun. I have a G19, 1911s, Sig P226, Beretta 92s, but I seem to shoot the M&P 2.0 Compact the best. It melts in my hand and runs perfectly. Very happy with the product and service.

This is the best shooting striker fired pistol I have ever shot. Much improved trigger. The new grip texture is not overly aggressive but allows you to have a good purchase. The different sized palm swells make it easy to customize and fit the shooter. I cant think of any bad points to the pistol.

(5 out of 5) M&P 2.0 Compact
by from Howell, MI on

This is an awesome pistol and my new favorite gun. Feels great in the hand with the new grip texture and improved trigger. Received a few days ago and I was able to run 50 rounds down range, very accurate right out of the box. I originally was considering a Glock Gen5 19, but after trying one out side-by-side against a full size M&P 2.0, there was no comparison. The 2.0 was a clear choice for me for the feel and accuracy. Ironically, the compact was announced just a few days later so I purchased one from SOS who is great to work with. My pistol arrived just in time to take advantage of the rebate. I will definitely be using Sportsmans Outdoor Superstore again. If you are thinking about a new Glock Gen 5, try this pistol out first, you will not be disappointed.

(5 out of 5) M&P 2.0 Compact
by from Philadelphia, PA on

This is a great pistol. Received it today and went immediately to the range after a light cleaning. Superb performance through 200 rounds of 124 grain PPU ammo. The ergonomics and accuracy are great. I have a P10-C and Gen 3&4 Glocks, and the feel of this is exceptional with the medium grip. I may put an Apex duty trigger in it as I prefer the feel versus the stock. I will say the stock trigger is a huge improvement over the 1.0, which also was Apexed. If you are on the fence with the Gen5 Glock, skip it, and get the M&P compact. The price and rebate offer from Smith and Wesson make it a super deal for under $450.
