by from Ocala, FL on

Smith & Wesson MP9 Shield M2.0 was a great purchase for me. I was looking for a carry gun chambered in 9mm that's small but not too small and reliable to protect me and my family. Only thing I didn't like was the trigger and magazine capacity but I fixed that issue through the aftermarket sector with Hyve technologies trigger, Mag ext, extended mag release & rear slide plate. All in all I love this gun its very comfortable in my Vedder kydex holster with claw. I also put a threaded barrel, Samson pocket comp and Sig Romeo green dot sight on it. I recommend this for any ccw holder. 1 more thing u cant beat sportsman outdoors prices.

(5 out of 5) Awesome little gun
by from Syracuse, NY on

Awesome little gun for concealed carry shoots great and love the laser too shoots right on target.

(5 out of 5) Tight
by from Edgewood, NM on

The only problem I have is the slide action is extremely stiff for my wife. I own two of these and it's like that on both, thought the 2.0 would be a little easier. Overall nice concealed carry piece.

Easy to conceal. Nice laser. Flawless function. Highly recommended.

(5 out of 5) Delivered as advertised!
by from Middleburg, FL on

Great price... Was leery of the laser but went with it anyway, price was hard to beat. But in the end was a good buy, customer service was top draw, too. These guys are good to deal with. They manage expectations well too. All product promises kept`;` from what’s included to, delivery time lines, etc. Furthermore, their prices are almost impossible to beat. They treat vets and 1st responders very well... without making a big deal about it... specialty access items notwithstanding, but it’s clear they treat all customers that way... Will definitely buy from them again!

(5 out of 5) Impressed as much by SOS as I am with the S&W Shield 2.0
by from Bethel, OH on

WoW, what a difference in this from the version 1.0 Shield. For me the most outstanding feature was the upgraded trigger. So this is how it went down. I was looking for a new CCW and started doing some research on about 5 different models. That soon came down to three. Of course I was looking at all the reviews, price, features etc. I wanted one with a manual safety after watching the online video of a fellow that shot himself in the groin area by bending over. That ruled out one of the pistols I was looking at.

So after a few more reviews I decided on the Shield 2.0 in 9mm. Ok now to find it for the best price. My go to store is normally Cabelas but they never have the best price. Bang! No pun intended. SOS beat everybody's price hands down and were nearly $150 cheaper than my go to store. Easy as 1-2-3 ordering online with SOS! Filled out the order form, selected my FFL dealer yeah my guy is on this list and his fee of $15 is the best price around still and submitted the order and figured ok, it should be there next week.

To my surprise 3 days later, my FFL dealer Jim was calling me up saying he had a package for me. Being the kid at Christmas I jumped in the truck and probably made it 5 miles to his shop in about 5 minutes. Thinking ahead I already had a few boxes of 9mm and since shooing in my sub division is kinda frowned upon, stopped by my buddies farm and got to shooting.

Using the site was knocking the coke cans off the fence post out to about 25 yards and decided hey, lets try this laser thingie out. Never used a laser on a pistol before. Took a couple rounds to figure out I was pulling while squeezing the trigger. Once I corrected that it would shoot low and right, so out comes the allen wrench and we made a slight adjustment. Now back to about 25 yards with laser I'm knocking the cans down again. I have no idea how far out that laser will work but if I need to shoot something more than 25 yards I have better options available to me.

S.O.S = 5 STARS and I've already made another purchase that was equally as smooth. S&W M&P Shield 2.0 = 5 STARS and would recommend it to anyone looking for a CCW.

(5 out of 5) Very happy so far
by from Buffalo, NY on

I’m a new pistol shooter. I shot the M&P9 Shield 1. I enjoyed that pistol. Too new to shooting to appreciate the nuances of trigger differences. It feels good in my average sized hands. Ran 50 rounds with no problems. The laser is dead on out of the box. I wanted the M&P9 Shield 2. Couldn’t pass up this deal including the laser. Multiple local shops couldn’t believe or beat the price. Thanks SOSS!

(5 out of 5) Superb Pistol, Great Price, Fast Shipping. Perfect Shopping Experience
by from Bedford, MA on

I was attracted to this website by the ideal product for me, Smith Wesson Shield 2.0 with Laser, as well as the unbelievable price. At first I was hesitant because of the negative reviews. After a week's hesitation, I took the plunge, and rewarded by the perfect shopping experience. The pistol was shipped out the second day I put the order. It arrived at my FFL at the 4th day. In that same weekend, I was already in a range shooting my Shield 2.0.

The Shield 2.0 is ideal to me, especially with my small-than-average hands. Sig P320 shoots the smoothest to me, but its double-stack magazine and handle made me stretch my grip. Sig P320s 24 oz weight is 30% heavier than Shields 18 oz. Recoil-wise, with correct way of grip, Shield is in the same range as the gentlest recoiling Sig P320. Shield has a very good reputation for reliability. That reputation has been verified by my own experience. So far I have shot more than 500 rounds through it, including Federal Aluminum Case. It only had one fail-to-extract with Winchester White Box WWB ammo. That same WWB box even include a shiny empty case. Needless to say, the quality of that batch of WWB is too low, and unless Shield has another failure with other brands of ammo, I will have utmost confidence on my Shield. Shields integrated laser is fun and functional. For a newbie shooter like me, 10 yard fast shooting groups at 7-8 inch. With laser turned on, even-faster shooting groups at 4 inch. That result amazed everyone in my group at the range.

The price settled the deal. Compared to above $500 price tag for Sig P320 alone, an over-all superior Shield with laser is an deal that cannot be refused by budget-minded first-time buyer, or buyer of a back-up pistol. It is no wonder that Shield has been monthly number one sales champion for several years. It seems everyone has a Shield, along with other pistols, rifles, and shotguns. I am very satisfied with the product and service from Sportman's Outdoor Superstore. I am looking at its web site daily for other purchases.

I was making a purchase and had a lot of trouble with my credit card company and these folks were awesome !! The one that stood out was Nikki. She was great and I couldn't have got it done without her. Wish I could give more stars. Thanks again Nikki.

(5 out of 5) A great gun!
by from Bellevue, Texas on

I have shot over 100 rounds since I got the gun and it has performed flawlessly. Really like the laser. Great price, fast shipping, outstanding performance. What else could you ask for?

(5 out of 5) S & W MP9 2.0 Shield with CTL
by from Greenville, PA. on

Without reservation, for the purpose of personal protection, I do recommend this gun. However, the on/off switch for the laser, leaves a bit to be desired. Difficult to switch on during the draw and most likely impossible, for a shooter with small hands or short fingers. Price-wise, 4 local dealers could not touch it. Even gooder, I called the store and got to speak firsthand in English with a real person who was friendly, knowledgeable and, very helpful. Looking forward to my next purchase through SPORTSMAN'S Outdoor Superstore.
