(5 out of 5) Best value in a 9mm when I was younger
by from Phoenix, AZ on

These could be had for around $100 when I was in high school, or grade school. I started working when I was 10. The standard affordable pistols were stuff like Ravens, Davis .380s, AMT, Phoenix, etc. Then there was Star. I loved having a Star tucked away, and not relying on some pot metal junk. This price is great, and the gun is more than adequate in quality. These are still excellent pistols for the money! I dumped Walther PPKSs but kept the Spanish Stars. I was not a thug or a troublemaker. I worked a paper route, and then I worked in the music section of a pawn shop. I never showed off having a gun either. I upgraded from this to a Hi Power.

(5 out of 5) Awesome
by from St Helen, In the woods on

The gun is a beauty. I've read the action moves and sounds like a bank vault. I love the sound. Shoots great. I agree with the other two reviews. Now the costumer service, is top notch. I wish you dealt with more Milserp guns. I would love to come back here for my first choice. Thanks again SOS. Keep up the great work.

(5 out of 5) Sweet deal, great gun

I'm in agreement with Charles the first review. This weapon is a pleasure to shoot, accurate and well built. I have shot many all steel weapons and this is one of the best. Read Charles review for more, better yet buy one before they're gone.

(5 out of 5) Great firearm......at any price!
by from Suffolk, VA on

I am a seasoned old collector that has had the pleasure of owning some, but shooting many firearms over the years. From full size to sub compact, I just enjoy good firearms and the history many offer. I have been impressed with the Star line of SA/Semi-Auto hand guns since my 1st experience with one. When finally getting the chance a few years ago to own one I did not hesitate to make the purchase. It was the Star model BM like offered here, and I consider it not only an incredible deal, but also a favorite in my collection. Let me say it is a pleasure to fire. Not only for its accuracy, solid purchase, natural point of aim but also the quick acquisition and performance it offers.

I have fired hundreds of miscellaneous rounds through mine without a single failure to feed, fire or eject. Recoil is minimal for the 9mm round it uses. I am impressed with the quality of design and build as well as ease to maintain. The bluing is bright and holds ups well to daily use, the bore is bright with excellent rifling. I would not hesitate to trust it as my CCW or PDW and have done so often.

I feel every collection should have one of these. It also is a solid choice if you wish to own only one handgun for multiple purpose. Don't pass up the chance to own one of these before they are all gone! Later you will find them rare and for twice the price, or more if lucky.
