With premier components and upgrades from start to finish, the new 5.56 SAINT Edge is the next level up in Springfield's Saint AR-15 series.
The modular match, short-reset, Melonite-treated GI single stage trigger allows for a crisp, clean trigger press with zero creep.
Weighing in at just over six pounds, the lightweight design is engineered for improved accuracy, reliability, and consistent performance comparable to custom AR builds often costing much more. The sleek, patent-pending free-float handguard is slim and M-Lok compatible for accessories. Underneath, a pinned, mid-length, adjustable gas block aids in flawless feeding and ejection.
The lower billet receiver is machined 7075 T6 aircraft-grade aluminum with lightening cuts for effortless operation and quick maneuvering. The lower is Accu-Tite tension-bonded to a flat-top, optics-ready type III forged upper receiver, eliminating rattle or play, and is equipped with a forward assist, M4 feed ramps, and a unique mid-sized charging handle. The M16 bolt carrier group is Melonite treated, shot peened and MPI tested, with a 9310 steel bolt.
To aid in accuracy, the 16” barrel, CMV Melonite finished inside and out, has an optimum 1:8 twist, unique multiport muzzle brake, flip-up dual aperture rear sights, and an adjustable front sight that flips down for use with optics.
Upgraded furniture includes a Bravo Mod 2 pistol grip and six-position Bravo Mod 0 SopMod butt stock. (note – the mag well and receiver extension are not considered furniture).

Purchased the Saint Edge a few months ago. Had to wait a little longer than expected, but the rifle did not disappoint! For the price...hands down the best 5.56mm package available today, PERIOD! I placed a Burris AR332 on it and it shoots consistent 1/2 MOA groups at 100yds. This rifle is a pleasure to shoot. After putting a few hundred rounds through her, I have to take my hat off to Springfield. The boys at Springfield did an OUTSTANDING job putting this package together! It is as near a match grade rifle as you will find off the shelf. Its light, fast, dependable, and very well designed. I certainly hope they design a full auto version and replace the garbage Colt designed for military service. Yes...I spent 23 years in the service and fired nearly all of the small arms available since 1989. The Saint Edge beats the M16A1/A2 and M4 in every respect. Next...I plan on putting her in some sand to see how she handles the surf-zone environment Great rifle...highly recommend.
Edge rifle has machining to make it lighter than other ARs. I put Sightmark green laser and a Sig Romeo 5 on it to keep weight low. Had trouble with rifle jamming, rounds sticking. Also, hammer was not locking and firing. Used chamber brush and rod with drill to clean chamber. Looked behind hammer and located Allen screw. Allen wrench for gas tube screws fit screw behind hammer. Tightened screw and fixed trigger reset/lock problem.
Great rifle exactly what I wanted. Dealer I shipped to got mad because I got it for cheaper than they could get it. Also, rear of rifle has attachment holes 3 for sling mount other than just wrapping around stock.

Shipped same day as ordering and received two business days later at my designated FFL dealer. The Saint Edge is beautiful to look at and a dream to operate. I took it to the range the day after receipt and put 100 rounds through it flawlessly. Very light and extremely easy to manipulate, this rifle lives up to the hype and proves itself a leading platform for home defense, competition or simply enjoying time at the range. I am definitely pleased with this purchase from SOSS and will be back to pick up some more killer deals!
