(5 out of 5) Thompson compass 223/5.56
by Sonny from San Angelo, TX on January 21, 2018

I did a lot of research online of many different  rifles from many different manufactures of different calibers. I viewed hours of video on Youtube. I ran across a video on the Thompson Center Compass. It had an unbelievable price, so what the heck. I ordered the 223 combo with the vortex scope. At first, I had a lot of trouble shooting any tight groups. I tried different ammo with different bullet weights, nothing was helping. The rifle would shoot 2 shot 1 hole group, then jump way off. I finally decided to change scopes. This helped getting great consistent groups. After working up some hand loads, it shot dime size groups @ 100 yds. VERY Happy with this rifle. All for under 400.00. I sent the scope off to vortex for repairs hope it works well when I get it back. I love the rifle.

(5 out of 5) TC Compass 223
by Chris from Washington, Washington on February 9, 2018

Recently bought this rifle and was so impressed with it, I'm moved to write a review. TC says it has 1 MOA out of the box and they are correct. I sighted in at 50 yards and after 1 shot and adjusting windage/elevation, the next 3 shots were at 1/2 MOA. Then went to 100 yards, and 200 yards, and then to 300 yards! All shots were within 1 or LESS! Incredibly accurate rifle and even though it's their entry level rifle, the accuracy cannot be argued with. Liked it so much, 2 weeks later I bought there Venture Predator!
