The newest addition to the LCRx family, the LCRx in 327 Federal Magnum features an external hammer for single-action use, as well as a Hogue Tamer grip. The Ruger LCR is a lightweight, small-frame revolver with a uniquely smooth trigger and highly manageable recoil.

To me, the 327 federal makes for an entirely practical and versatile chambering for a revolver. You get 6 shots out of the small frame, which is 1 more than most. You also have a wide variety of power levels. My wife absolutely loves this revolver shooting 32 s&w longs. Very little recoil allows her to practice more, which is always a good thing. She can carry 32 h&r defense rounds in it. For me, with the hotter loads, I get 6 shots of 327 fed mag which falls in between a 38+p and a 357 mag in power. I really can't think of a more practical and versatile defense round. At this point, I think the revolver itself is proven. The LCRx has great double action triggers and the relatively slim profile makes it easy to conceal. The hogue tamer grips are quite nice.
