The G2C is an updated model of the PT-111 G2, one of Taurus' most popular semi-automatic handguns. A more durable finish has been added to the new & improved slide, which features a stamped version of the new Taurus logo. The G2C no longer includes the Taurus security key, as it has been removed.
With its lightweight 22 oz. polymer frame, thin profile, and ramped 3.2 inch barrel, G2C from Taurus is the ideal concealed carry handgun. The G2C features an accessory rail, high-profile sights, an aggressive, textured grip and melted edges for added comfort and easy concealment.
I have fired around 1000 rounds and not 1 jam. Pretty accurate.
Great budget shooter and EDC.
This website is fine to order from but the Tarus G2C is absolutely garbage. Do not trust your life with this weapon. Seriously, it's dirt cheap for a reason. Any one who says other wise is either a fake review or is trying to compensate for their buyer's remorse.
I love my Taurus G2c. It shot well out of the box and provided combat effective accuracy with no sight adjustment necessary. It feeds a variety of ammo reliably. I bought a G3c as a backup and it was a little more finicky when it comes to ammo, but it shoots Hornady Critical Defense flex tips without a hiccup. You can't go wrong for the money.
Had one that I purchased new. It was extremely reliable with all ammo but printed about 8 inches to the left no matter how far I adjusted it. I removed the rear sight and found that it was visibly drilled off center about 3/16 inch. At least I know it wasn't me. Traded it in for a Ruger. Scott, you were right. Taurus QC needs some work.
Easily jammed with jhp, especially those with glitcy edge at top part of the bullet(Federal JHP). No problem with regular bullets. Tauras may consider to modify the ramp design(revise the ramp surface curve degree of the feeding parts)
This pistol is an unbelievable bargain at this price! This is a solidly built, reliable, firearm!! I purchased one in January, paid $319 for it, loved it so much I bought a second!! I carry on every day! This is a high quality item!!
Unbelievable quality for such a reasonable price! I’ve been carrying this as my EDC since I received it and ran about 600 rounds over 3 outings. Not ONE misfire, jam, or issue!
Was very impressed with the Taurus. I own other Taurus, but wanted a 9mm for home protection. The safety is located in a perfect location and easy to operate. The round in chamber indicator is a great feature of this gun. The gun is very comfortable in my hand and balanced. Highly recommend this gun and can’t beat the price. Haven’t fired it yet, but knowing Taurus I don’t expect to have any problems.
very pleased with this pistol!! I wanted something that would be easy to conceal carry but also have the power to adequately defend, God forbid I should ever need to. Don't let the sub-compact fool you this is a beefy feeling pistol. The dual stack mag makes the grip comfortable even for someone with big sausage fingers like me. this is my first firearm so I don't have any thing I can compare it to but for a first time gun owner this thing is easy to clean and maintain, comfortable and powerful!!
No matter what you do you cant shot this straight . Ive put over 250 rounds thru it and it wont go on paper. Always shots to the far left. I even let other shooters use it just to see if it was me. Same results way to the left. My High Point shots better than this thing. Hated it so much I sold it.
This gun is everything I expected from Taurus. Great shooter at a great price. Shoots as good as my more expensive pistols.
Fits my hand well, perfect for my concealed carry purse.
I had to wait along time before I could find one, they sold out as soon as they came in. I know right, but hey great weapon, 12+1 several spare mags shoots like a shark on steroids. Feels so good in my hand and is 22.oz cannot beat it. Fired maybe 3000 rounds through it and no problems. Oh and to the gentleman who said he cannot hit anything. Read the manual, might help you. Put the front site on TOP of the rear site picture and see what happens. .....it tells you in the manual.
For what I paid for my G2C, its one of the best deals Ive seen for a concealed carry gun!
Bought one for my wife. I liked it so much that I bought another one. Can't beat the price.
The only thing this little dude needs is a little bit smoother trigger. Other that getting used to that, 0-25 yards, deadly and reliable, which is what I bought it for. G2C is my choice for EDC. Lite, compact, plenty of power, and with the double stack mag, enough rounds to keep firing. I have always had a thing for Taurus, but this semi Auto takes it to the next level.
I have two and both had very sticky and notchy trigger safeties. I had thought orginially that it might have just needed some breakin, but after 400 rounds it wasn't any better. I replaced the triggers in both and the first one works well without issues and have over 3500 rounds through it, The second one had multiple problems with feeding, stovepiping, and ejecting smoothly to go with the lousy trigger and it didn't improve after a breakin period and I sent it back to Taurus. That is when I found out first hand how bad their warranty service was. They sent it back saying they cleaned up around the feed ramp and replaced the trigger bar. What they didn't say is they replaced the barrel with some old well used test barrel they had hanging around that wasn't serialized.
They also replaced a mag with a new one, but didn't mention it. It still had the same problems that i sent in for them to fix.
In order to get it to work normally I pulled it completely apart and filed and polished everything and now it works, but a customer shouldn't have to do the work that the factory and Taurus Warranty service should have done if they cared about their products and customers. Quality is still hit or miss with them.
I own several Smiths, Rugers, and Walthers and never had any of these kind of issues. Even though both of mine work well now, I don't have the same confidence in the G2cs as with my other guns. Brand name guns do cost considerably more, but with that extra money comes a level of confidence that my Taurus will never provide me. Good target range, backup, or truck guns, but it may be a roll of the dice depending on them to perfrom and protect your family.
Gun with new 30 dollar trigger is AWESOME. Get the trigger on ebay. The stock trigger crunches and catches if you dont pull it perfectly straight back. KT trigger for 30 bucks eliminates all the take-up as well as the crunchy catching that was going on. Known issue with the G2C but is easily fixed and will be the best gun purchase youll ever make. My rating is based on OUT OF THE BOX status.
Great firearm, shoots great, easy to use and easy to clean. Conceal carries very well. Taurus makes a great product and Sportsman’s Outdoor Superstore is a great place to great firearms, ammunition and accessories.
There's nothing bad about this pistol ...other than the travel of the trigger to make the 1st shot is incredibly long. One would almost think the trigger is broken. The reset is relatively short ...but that first pull is a beast. It needs a lot of work.
Love my Taurus G2C Sub-compact. What a great little piece for off duty carry! Thank you so much for fast shipping and amazing products!
The Taurus G2C is a great 9mm conceal carry at a great price! Sportsman's Outdoor Superstore is also a great company to do business with!
My Taurus G2C 9mm is awesome!!! Great customer service from SOSS. Fast free shipping!! No problems!! This is my go to place for serious firearm purchases. Don't hesitate from purchasing online, if you're confident in the make and model of what you want. You can't beat their prices and customer service.
I have the previous model the PT-111 G2 and love it. Never a malfunction in the thousand rounds I have put through it and I carry it. I bought this new model the G2C and like that they did away with the lock system, makes the gun simpler. And a better grip texture.. I too have shot this hundreds of rounds and no malfunctions. These little Taurus Pt-111 G2s and the new G2c are great reliable guns at an excellent price. I got both of mine for $189.00 a piece plus the ffl transfer. Excellent deal.
