Taurus G2S 9mm Single Stack Pistol

I’ve had this for 4 years now without a single jam or misfire. The only reason it’s a 4 instead of 5 is it’s a bit small and not the most accurate.

I’ve owned my Taurus for just over 4 years now and am just now writing my review. I have absolutely no complaints what so ever. It’s been a work horse for sure. I’ve ran the cheapest ammo available up to the high end ammo and never once had a jam or misfire. This gun performs well no matter what and it is my go to for protecting my family. It’s the only gun in my bedside biometric hand safe.

Priced right, arrived promptly. Light and concealable. Liked the product, especially at that price.

Used to carry a old Jennings J22. So this is a major defense upgrade. Fist well in my pocket and fired 50 rounds of Remington UMC FMJ perfectly. I carry Hornady Critical Defense 115 grain in it. Love this gun.

This is probably the perfect personal defense weapon with the grip extension and with a Tagua Gunleather Taurus 709 Slim Inside Pants Gun Holster, Black, Right Hand. Like others I believe this to be an excellent weapon. Money well spent because the more you use range rounds the more you will like it. $199.00 best price I have found.

Shoots straight, decent recoil for a small gun, Glock style take down lever for easy field disassembly, really great price, Hi-point price territory with much better features and build quality. Long uptake on trigger pull with very short reset, not like most other striker fired guns but it's not bad, just different. Rear sight adjustable, safety lever and integral key lock in the slide for optional use. Comes with only one mag.

I am a course trained armorer. I purchased this weapon as a concealed carry, from a gun shop, it was used. After a short period of time it did not function properly. When pulling the trigger the weapon would only fire every 4th or 5th time. Not good. I sent it to Taurus for repairs after a month it was returned with a new firing pin and internal support. At that time however when the thumb safety was placed on the weapon would still fire. That's right. It is now back at Taurus. I will purchase a new concealed carry and a different make and model. I do not trust this weapon or the manufacturer any more. I will say in closing that if this was a new weapon when purchased and used only for conceal carry with limited shooting, it may have been ok, however that does not explain why Taurus returned it TO ME with a faulty safety. The handgun is nice for CHL. Has a little more bulk than my Ruger LCP Custom, but that is offset by the superior trigger nice, and ballistics. Accurate and functions, at least so far...some 100 rounds...flawlessly. Because of the smooth softer trigger pull, it's nice to have the option to use/have a manual safety.

You can't beat the price. After my wife found out I ordered one for myself, she raised hell with me that I did not order her one. Soooo I did. I have put the pinky mag extension on both weapons and the 4 extra Mags I have bought. Makes the weapon more comfortable to shoot; in my opinion. The weapon is accurate out of the box. The trigger takes a little getting used to. But after 100 rounds or so it seems to be no big deal. I usually carry a S&W 6904. Have for years. This weapon is easier to conceal during hot weather. Lifetime warranty.

I always buy from Sportsman's. I recently purchased the Taurus PT-709. I know a lot of people do not like them. I took mine straight out of the box, and put 21 rounds downrange. No problems at all. I actually like the feel of the gun and the sights were on point. My wife has a Ruger LC9s, I also have a Ruger LCP custom. I like the PT-709; I'll put more rounds through it soon.

This Taurus is such a great pistol and at SOSS, a terrific value as well. Ergonomics are excellent, and being primarily a pocket pistol, the external safety breeds a lot of confidence. Decent standard sights, reasonably accurate and very lightweight. No failures of any kind thus far. May acquire more of these.

The Taurus Model 709 Slim 9mm in my opinion is probably worst handgun you can purchase. The 709 barrel actually blew up at the range after about 200 rounds. As a 30 yr. gun instructor, I would save up a little more and purchase a reliable and safe handgun. Do your homework before purchasing a firearm that you can depend on. Glock 43, Ruger LC9s and the M&P Shield, just to mention a few, are great for conceal carry. As I tell all my students, I will never recommend a handgun to anyone, but will tell them what ones I personally have had trouble with. My thumb of rule is a quality gun will normally cost $350.00 on sale and up. Be safe, be smart.

I have had the pistols for nearly a year and I still love them, as does the wife. I have fired them at a plate rack at 35 yards with no issues knocking the plates down. Great guns.

This has been the most reliable out of the box pistol I have recently purchased. Zero feed/fire issues 300 rounds. Easy to see sights and very accurate and consistent. Long first shot trigger pull takes a few rounds to understand - at first I thought the trigger didn't work! Don't look down the barrel!! - Point down range and pull! Now that I get it I love the short crisp break of subsequent shots. More reliable than my shield and fits my hand better - easy to strip/clean - great value.

Very nice guns and the price is awesome.

I bought one for me and then later one for the wife. I like Taurus quality and life time warranty. I put crimson trace laser guard lasers on both guns. Zeroed them in and they stay on target. My wife wanted a thumb safety like her 1911 model. I like it because you have the thumb safety and the trigger safety. Very accurate puts holes where the laser hits. Can't ask for more. Trigger is not great but heah its made for safe use up close and personal like.

This is a powerful tool to have on hand in a crunch. The 3 1/2 pull is awesome. The double single feature is great. Double action is a 5 pound pull. The easy to get to safety on the exit or makes pocket carry safe.
