(4 out of 5) Italian American Classic At A Great Price
by from New Orleans, LA on

This version is made in Italy. This is a detail that is missing from the item description. Performance rating of 3 only because I haven't shot it yet, but my only gripe so far is the guns coating/finish is not completely applied on the inside of the magwell. This is my first Beretta and I don't know if this is something qc related with my example or if this is something they do on a regular.
There is an approx. 2x1 area of unfinished metal inside the magwell on both sides. It runs approx. from the bottom of the magwell to just over the lower grip screw. If I had to guess it looks like the pistol may have been hanging on some type of hooks when it was dipped in the coating and the paint didn't get applied to this area. It's not visible when you are not looking in the magwell or changing the grips.
At $700+ this is unacceptable IMO, but at sub $500 from SOSS I can live with it. Besides the minor finish gripe the pistol looks great, and I am pleased with the pistol. Thanks again SOSS for the great deal.
