The Smith & Wesson M&P M2.0 Compact just got shorter, and is now equipped with a 3.6" barrel, making it an ideal everyday carry firearm choice.
Designed for personal, sporting, and professional use, the M&P M2.0 delivers an entirely new platform, introducing innovative features in nearly every aspect of the pistol, including trigger, grip, frame, and finish. Highlights of the M&P M2.0 pistol include an extended stainless-steel chassis and a low barrel bore axis for reduced muzzle rise and faster aim recovery. The M&P M2.0 pistol further improves performance with a fine-tuned, crisper trigger, lighter pull and a tactile and audible reset. The pistol includes an aggressively-textured grip and four interchangeable palmswell inserts for optimal hand-fit and trigger reach. Includes two magazines, a limited lifetime warranty and a lifetime service policy.
One of my favorite guns. I love the way it shoot and feel in my hand.
Sights were dead on right out of the box. Shot tight groups at 20 yards. Recoil was light & noticeably less than my G23 gen 3. So glad I got this when I did. Pretty much the perfect CCW pistol for me.
Possibly the best EDC 40 Cal. On the market. Shoots extremely well and that’s after putting 2,000 rounds through it. Definitely would recommend to anyone in the market looking for an outstanding EDC weapon!
Ran 150 various 180 grain rounds through it with 1 failure to feed. Clean it and ran 100 rounds with 1 failure to feed. I have a few more rounds to use to break it in until i decide on one type to practice with and one for home defense. I am well pleased so far. Have been running federal, blazer brass, and agulia rounds so far.
Out of the case the sights are dead on. I have 300 rounds in it now without one mis-load. It's a nice pistol for the price, you can't go wrong.
This is a great performance of handgun made in the U.S.A. I like this more than the Austrian junk that everyone is in love with. Made in America, ensuring that Americans have jobs.
I purchased the S&W M&P40c 3.6 a few months ago. Good buy for the price... Have put a few hundred rounds down range and over thousands of dry pulls.. the sights where off just as other customers stated, but all in all a new edc for sure.
I did not hesitate to pick this up. Rear sight was crooked but that was a simple fix. I have no FTF or FTE issues. A nice clean and oil down after purchase is great. Solid piece of equipment and I expect it to last a long time.
This Smith & Wesson MP Shield 2.0 is a much better weapon then the Glock. When you buy the MP Shield, to the point know you put money into the pocket of an American company not an Austrian company. Ergonomic of the MP shield is much better, it looks better and it’s about $150 less than the Glock.
Great firearm out of the box. 2.0 feels great in the hand. Cycled through all sorts of ammo. Accurate out the box, hitting steel at 25 yds all day. Smooth action nice trigger. Amazing deal. Great pistol!
Got the gun and cleaned/lubricated it right away. All looked great until I fired the first shot at range. No case gets ejected after each shot and I have to chamber the slide every time for every single shot. Field stripped and all looks normal.
Perhaps it's a defect product. Sending it back to Smith & Wesson for repair. This is my first gun and bought it after reading all the good reviews. So disappointed!!!
I'd previously purchased a full sized M&P 2.0 and wanted to try the smaller version. The 2.0 is a vast improvement over the original. And the original was not a bad gun to begin with. Smith and Wesson should be praised for listening to the customer complaints about the M&P pistols and fixing them in the 2.0.
The grips are aggressive and ergonomic, the trigger is improved and crisp but still with a long take up. Comfortable and crazy accurate. 100% worth the price! You won't be disappointed!
I ordered this exact pistol last Thursday and picked it up from my ffl on Friday. $349 after taxes and overnight shipping, couldn’t be happier after reading some of the reviews. I was scared to make a purchase but I did anyway and boy am I happy! It came in a hard case with all the extras. I will def shop here again!
Great gun for a first time gun owner. Feels very comfortable in my hand and the grip is rough enough to get good control without feeling like it's scrapping my hand. Zero issues with it so far, great quality and amazing price!
This was a steal for the price. I also bought a .357 sig barrel, so 2 calibers in one gun. Perfect after thousands of rounds. Comfortable grip and balance, and very accurate. Trijicon night sights added, now it's a perfect gun to join my EDC rotation. Fabulous handgun!
Maybe I'm spoiled by the Sigs, CZs, and Walthers I own, but I think not. I also carry Glock and used to carry S&W on duty. This is the second M&P I've owned, the first was a Performance Center and I got rid of it. This one seemed a good deal.
Long story short, it has the grittiest and most inconsistent trigger pull of any handgun I own. I know S&W can make good triggers, however, they somehow just refuse to get it right with the striker fires. It says a lot if stock Glock and CZ triggers puts the S&W to shame.
Shoots smooth, crisp trigger. Accurate for a compact right out of the box. Easy to clean and looks great. 400 rds thru it, so far zero issues.
After shooting Glocks for the past 15 years I decided to try a Smith & Wesson M&P40 M2.0 compact to see how it matched up to the Glock 23. Truly impressed with the grip and trigger and reset of trigger.
Biggest advantage is ambidextrous magazine release and slide release. Factory sights are acceptable, though I will probably upgrade to night sights, as all my handguns have them. I like that it accepts full size magazines from my full size M&P40 I purchased earlier from Sportsman's Outdoor Superstore as a police trade-in, brand new in box. Sportsman's Outdoor Superstore has excellent pricing and service with free shipping on firearms.
This is a really nice shooting gun. I've only put about 100 rounds through it so far, but not a single problem. The trigger is great and the muzzle flip is less than half of my Ruger SR40. I just got done practicing at my range and put 7 in a 3 circle center mass and 6 in a 2 circle head shots on an IDPA style target from 10 yards.
I've put a couple hundred rounds through my Ruger and can't shoot it nearly as good as the M&P! I'll definitely buy anything M&P 2.0, maybe a 45 next!
Gun is ready to go right out of the box, already has metal sights and a grippy texture....trigger is pretty decent too! I'm used to doing mods to most of my guns, but this one shot awesome right out of the box. Unbelievable deal at less than $300!!! Liked it so much I purchased 2!!
Great gun. Just like the photo. Everything came in the case that was supposed to. Product came on time. Awesome customer service.
I ordered this pistol last week from this site. It came with a great price tag, $300. It was almost too hard to pass up. So I purchased the pistol in the early morning, and to my surprise, it shipped later that afternoon! My FFL was already in their database, which made things go quick and easy. When I went to pick up my pistol, I was pleased that it came in a hard, lockable, case. Most firearms companies are dialing back on this practice, I'm glad Smith and Wesson is not. This pistol came with 2 13 round magazines. It also came with 4 different sized grips, to customize your hand size. It came with your standard firearm lock and barrel flag, as well as 2 magazine extenders, my guess is to fit the older M&P mags, if you have any laying around.
The pistol itself is, what I would classify as, a medium-sized pistol. The term compact is relative. I knew this going in, so I knew what I was getting in to. You might be able to conceal this pistol, though it would definitely be on the large size for that. I have large hands, so I found the large grip to be a perfect size for me. This is my first Smith and Wesson pistol purchase, so I can't comment on the differences from the older M&P to the 2.0. I will say that I like the trigger a lot. It is not spongy at all. I like the magazine eject, which is strong and will clear the magazine easily. Ive read some people gripe about the aggressive grip, but I like it. Especially after 30 minutes into a range session and your palms start sweating. The fish-scale slide grip is also nice, for the reasons I stated above. Field stripping the pistol is easy. They do have a safety switch you can click to remove the slide, without depressing the trigger, which I guess is a nice feature, though I doubt I will use that much.
As far as firing the pistol, I've found no issues at all, though I've only fired 165 grain ammo through it thus far. I plan to try out a few different grain loads mixed in with some different hollow point ammo, just to see how ammo feeds through it. The only real gripe I have is the sights are all white. I prefer the center be a different color, for faster target acquisition. Other than that this pistol is a real value at a great price. Highly Recommend it.
So I was confused. I thought this pistol was the 2.0 version of the 40c 3.5 barrel. I was wrong. It is bigger then then original 40c. Not what I wanted.
S&W needs to work on their pistol model names.
They are offering
Compact in 4 version 2.0
Compact in 3.6 version 2.0
Compact 3.5 version 1.0.
Great gun regardless if S&W is lacking creativity and common sense with names. However, this pistol is still bigger then what I wanted. So if you want to update your 3.5 to a 2.0 version you have to wait. This is not that gun!!!
Exceptional customer service, great prices, fast shipping and my new favorite store! WELL DONE!!! Respectfully, Mark
