The M400 TREAD from Sig Sauer is a premium entry-level rifle, accompanied by a full-line of TREAD branded accessories that gives the consumer the freedom to grow. This premium rifle, at a moderate price point, is packed with innovation and flexibility, and doesn't sacrifice the quality demand from Sig.
This base model is loaded with features which would be considered costly upgrades on comparable models. Right out of the box, the TREAD features a factory-installed, aluminum, free-floating M-LOK handguard for improved accuracy, and can be easily removed with two hex screws to change out to the TREAD accessory option.
Want to mount an optic? No problem! The TREAD is an optics ready, aluminum frame rifle. Other features include a single-stage polished/hard-coat trigger, ambidextrous controls, a Magpul™ SL-K 6 position telescoping stock, and a mid-length gas system. This rifle, combined with the accessories, both premium SIG SAUER products offered at a budget-friendly price, will set a new standard for the industry, and Sig's entire TREAD brand can best be defined as the new face of freedom.
This rifle outperforms my colt, Springfield, and other builds. Change out the handguard, and boom. The factory handguard is good but gets hot pretty quick during serious shooting sessions.
Just picked up this AR15 from my gun dealer. If this is considered an entry level I wonder what Sig’s $2000 ARs are like to shoot. I did have my dealer install a completion trigger, which is amazing. Feels like you cd blow on it and it would fire and a EOTECH red dot. Yes, that’s another $500 but totally worth it. The rifle is absolutely incredible. I’ve been a handgun guy for several years and this is my first AR. I cannot lay enough accolades on this Sig firearm. The two modifications I made make it absolutely unbeatable and I dare say it will shoot just as good as the more expensive models. Was sighted at 110 yds and my first shots ever were all in the bullseye zone. A fantastic experience!
