Springfield Armory's previous NRA Handgun of the Year recipient has been upgraded, improved and reintroduced as the XD-S Mod.2. Featuring improved ergonomics and grip texturing, the XD-S Mod.2 allows for the most comfortable shooting experience, bringing point-and-shoot ergonomics to the next level. Now introduced with an enhanced trigger and improved bonding wedge slide serrations for easier manipulation of the slide, The XD-S Mod.2 is everything you need in your next concealed carry pistol.
The XD-S Mod.2 comes with two stainless steel magazines: a flush-fitting 5-round mag, and one 6-round mag with Mid-Mag X-Tension™. These magazines, unloaded and seated in the pistol, give the XD-S Mod.2 a weight of 21.5 ounces and 22.5 ounces, respectively. The single-stack magazines provide ample capacity in a remarkably slim design, giving the XD-S Mod.2 the ideal profile for concealed carry purposes.

The ordering experience was great. The price was the best on the internet. The gun is exactly as advertised: slim and powerful! The night sight is super visible in the daylight. Recoil is stout, but manageable. I can’t wait to put this gun into my carry rotation!
If you are looking for a .45ACP for CCW that won’t break the bank, then this is the firearm for you. Functioned flawlessly through 150 rounds brass cased combination of FMJ and JHP. Has a bit of a “sting” to it due to the caliber but very manageable recoil. I love it.
Side note: this was my first order through SOSS and I couldn’t be more pleased. Had firearm in my hand 1 week from order date. Even after FFL fee, I paid $100 less than my local retailer and got a better deal. The retail store was simply a stock package. I got a range bag, 5 mags and a night sight and paid $100 less. Great deal, would definitely do business with SOSS again.
Very impressed with overall performance and feel. Recoil very manageable. I believe this will be my new personal carry. Can't beat the price!
