This has been a great gun so far! Not my first gun but it is my first 9mm handgun. It is easy to shoot safely and accurately as well as field strip and clean. It has been very reliable through 500 rounds, the few failures coming from ammo or after market mags. Outdoor Superstore was also great with shipping to FFL happening earlier than scheduled!

Before firing one round I had major trouble with failure to feed. I reached out to Springfield with 3 emails after I registered the gun. To this day, I have yet to hear one word. It wasn't until someone suggested that paying $189 for a gun means just what it is...you get what you pay for. He suggested that sacrifices are made to keep the price low. He suggested that the feed ramp issue may be a simple burr that wont allow the bullet to operate smoothly and that I should start by smoothing out the feed ramp area. Long story short, he was right. Although the feed ramp has minor polishing, it took removal of more material and re-polishing in order to fix the failure to feed problem. Now the gun functions as it should. Lesson learned for me and that is: this gun is cheap for a reason.
