Affordable, American-Made modern sporting rifle with the rugged reliability that you have come to expect from Ruger. Made from aerospace-grade 7075-T6 aluminum forging, the flattop upper receiver includes a forward assist, dust cover and brass deflector. Bolt is machined from 9310 alloy steel and is shot peened and pressure (proof) tested to ensure strength, structural integrity and durability.
Firearm Features
- 11" aluminum handguard is free-floated for accuracy and features Magpul® M-LOK® accessory attachment slots along the 3:00, 6:00 and 9:00 positions with additional slots on the angled faces near the muzzle.
- Flat top upper receiver features a Picatinny rail for easy attachment of magnified optic, red dot or open sights.
- Made from 7075-T6 hard-coat anodized aluminum forgings, shot-peened and proof-tested 9310 steel bolt, and 8620 steel bolt carrier. The inside diameter of the carrier and gas key are chrome plated and the key is staked for longevity.
- Single-stage trigger provides durable and reliable fire control. The enlarged trigger guard is designed to allow gloved shooting in cold weather.
- Six-position, telescoping, M4-style buttstock and Mil-Spec buffer tube allow the rifle to be properly sized for different shooters or varying levels of outerwear.
- Equipped with a heavy contour, cold hammer-forged alloy barrel with 1:8" twist rifling that provides exceptional accuracy with bullets from 35 to 77 grains. M4 feed ramps and 5.56 NATO chamber allows the use of both 5.56 NATO and .223 Rem. ammunition. The barrel and 1/2"-28 Ruger® flash suppressor have a matte black oxide finish to reduce glare and provide corrosion resistance.
- Ergonomic pistol grip features an extended trigger reach for more precise trigger control.
- Made from aerospace-grade 7075-T6 aluminum forging, the flat top upper receiver features a forward assist, dust cover and brass deflector.
- Also includes: one, 30-round Magpul® PMAG® magazine.

Great product and unbelievable shipping.
First, let me say I'm not a gun snob. But I do tend to purchase as close to top of the line models as I can, taking into account great deals.
I initially bought this little rifle to be left to my grandson, who just turned 1. In 17 years, he might appreciate this old timey rifle.
Out of the box I was fairly impressed...an AR platform with the Ruger name, USA made for under $470. After closer inspection, this rifle started impressing me more and more. The fit and quality was way above a sub $470 firearm. So I decided to run a few rounds thru it. After slapping on a Nikon 3x9 and a quick bore sighing, I was easily shooting .75 MOA groups of 3 rounds at 100 yards. It does string slightly high and left as the barrel heats up. So I let it cool down and slowly ran some Hornady .223 Superformance Match 75g BTHP rounds thru it. 3 of the 5 shot group were touching. A true MOA rifle. Impressive! Tomorrow I'm going to put a better scope on it and using the same ammo, I'm gonna leg it out to 300 - 500 yards. We'll see how well it does since the weather conditions should be perfect.
All in all, for a budget Ruger AR this thing is amazing. If you're looking to get into the AR platform, or just wanting another one for whatever reason you can never have enough firearms, this rifle is a steal at $469.99 and free shipping.
Bought this back in March I happened to get this when the gun was listed at 549.99 now it 649 so I got a steal there. Order it on mon processed wed was shipped out was at the ffl dealer that friday. I havent had a chance to shoot the gun but I am sure I wouldn't have any issue I highly recommend this weather it 550-650 price range worth every single penny and the customer service is great go place your order asap.

Bought this bad boy back 2019 in February was originally 859 or so was on sale for 549 580 after tax shipped super super fast. Placed my order on Monday shipped out Wed arrived Friday ..took home update I made some adjustments and custize it, I've put 500 into accessories well worth every penny.
I have owned this rifle for a few years now and have put a couple of thousand rounds through it. It has always performed great and will shoot whatever brand of ammunition I load into it. An excellent rifle for a very good price!!
