The AR-556 MPR has proven to be an excellent hunting platform, and the .350 Legend chambering expands that role. The nitrided 16.38" barrel is capped with a 1/2"-28 radial port muzzle brake. The rifle's appeal is enhanced by the combination of a Ruger® Elite 452® AR-Trigger, Magpul® furniture and a 15" free-float handguard. Magpul M-LOK® accessory attachment slots make the addition of a sling or bipod easy. With less recoil, and weighing almost a pound less than its .450 Bushmaster counterpart, the MPR chambered in .350 Legend is a fantastic hunting option.
I just purchased a AR 556 MPR 350 Legend too hunt deer, hog and coyotes with. What a nice scope that I can put on it that's reasonable in price and also what grain bullets do you'll reccomend I'm planning on purchasing a few 20 round clips.
I've got 80 rounds through and it is fun to shoot. Performance is a 4 out of 5 right now`;` I had around 10 145g FMJ Winchester rounds short stroke. I am inclined to think it is an issue with the ammo and not the gun though, I will find out once I get some of the 124g Browning rounds. If this is the case itll be a 5 across the board. Was able to get a 2 group with a 50 year old Bushnell sportview scope shooting without a rest firing the Winchester FMJ plinking rounds. Id say thats not bad considering I am way out of practice and this is my first AR platform gun. If you're looking for a deer/hog gun thats fun to shoot I don't think you can go wrong with this one.
Performs perfectly! Needed about 50 rounds to break in the bolt. It’s machined tightly. I have 120 rounds through it and the bolt is now feeding perfectly. Such a great inexpensive large round! So much fun to shoot! And that trigger!! Wow, the trigger is light, clean and crisp! Just can’t beat the value! I bought mine when it was @ $720. Looks like I bought at the right time! Can’t wait to put down some deer. Until then I will be quite happy exploding cinderblocks with my friends in the backyard! Thank you Ruger!!!
