(5 out of 5) Damn good rifle..
by Lynsi from Fort Collins, CO on February 13, 2020

#1 thing clean it and oil it very very good before you go out to shoot it every little piece that you can oil and buff it.. #2 Winchester ammo!!! 500 rounds of 180g core lock never missed a beat... #3 go with the all wood finish it will melt the plastic crap off at 230 rounds... #4 harvested an elk at 612 yards 1 shot right through the heart... Damn well worth the $$..

(5 out of 5) Hell of a gun for the price
by Matt from chesapeake VA, VA on November 24, 2021

This rifle is an absolute tank of a gun. I've put probably 500 rounds through it in the last two years, haven't cleaned it once, and it still belts out rounds like a champ. Incredibly accurate, feels very solid in your hands as well. 15 round magazines load easy and the springs are strong. Excellent buy, the only gripe I have is that you cannot remove the iron sights to install a good optic.

(3 out of 5) Got a mess
by DL from Free State, ID on August 5, 2023

Bought mine 3-4 years ago looked interesting. Overall it looked great when I opened the box, wasnt until after the warranty period was done I revisited it had other projects going on since I knew nothing about delayed roller locked rifles. Learned a bunch from websites thats when I found out how bad mine was. There was NO bolt stop gap stop welded in short, bolt gap was inconsistent, pic rail welded canted to left, cleaning kit was in there with a bunch of sand too, trigger group sloppy with makeshift parts, cocking tube bent in the middle flaring the slot. I bought a bunch of NOS parts and spares and set to work. Replaced worn sloppy trigger parts, straightened the tube, and I hated to do it but the only way to gain the correct bolt stop gap and a consistent bolt gap was to take a fraction off the nose of the carrier, and install new rollers since the originals were 2 different dimensions. Fitted new CAI polymer furniture replaced the troublesome handguard with a surplus HK with shield. Yeah I know I should have returned it but I waited too long and besides I enjoyed the challenge. Glad some people got great ones, it happens. Will eventually shoot it once I finish my Saiga 308 project, do a side by side. For the record, just last week, I confirmed that mine was built by PTR for CAI, so cant put the blame on Century.
