I’ve had mine for 4 years and I’m super satisfied with mine. The accuracy and dependable trigger pull set low is a plus. Last trip out, I shot two bucks in one hunt, in about a minute and a half of each other, hitting them both dead on target. One never left his tracks. It was put up for over a year and a half and when I got it out, at 175 yards, it’s still a nail driver. I have a 4x16x40 quality Vortex scope and bipod. My only issue is that I use it for hunting as well and it’s a bit heavy to carry on a couple hundred yard walk. This is a very good quality gun and has great repeat accuracy .
This rifle is packed with so many features for a modest price. I paid $600 for mine, but have seen them go for less, new.
This rifle has a aluminum bedded stock that is adjustable for length of pull and comb height Accustock.
It also comes with a fully adjustable, great trigger Accutrigger.
The barrel is 5r rifled, some say it is better, some do not, I love it. It shoots amazingly and the barrel is threaded, ready for your muzzle brake or suppressor.
The over-sized bolt handle, 20 MOA factory installed scope rail, and drop out magazine round out the features of this sub $1000 rifle. Really!!
At the range. Topped with a Vortex Viper 5-25x50. Zeroed at 100 yards with Hornady Match ELD 147 grain bullets. I pulled up the Hornady app on the phone and began to stretch the legs of this combo. After zero, second shot was at 300 yards after dialing scope as dictated from app, HIT 6x8 steel. Every shot 1 after that, out to 1000 was a HIT!
Hands down the cheapest best shooting machine I've ever purchased.
I bought this during Black Friday when they were running them on special with $100 mail in rebate. After waiting two months, I finally get my rebate and it's only $75. Then the magazine fits sloppily in the floor plate binds up while loading the cartridge and the trigger obviously has a malfunction due to it will ping, and then you have to reset the bolt cock because the trigger went dead. Poor quality workmanship, I will never buy another Savage again.
