I bought this during Black Friday when they were running them on special with $100 mail in rebate. After waiting two months, I finally get my rebate and it's only $75. Then the magazine fits sloppily in the floor plate binds up while loading the cartridge and the trigger obviously has a malfunction due to it will ping, and then you have to reset the bolt cock because the trigger went dead. Poor quality workmanship, I will never buy another Savage again.
I thought this would be a solid mid-price distance rifle, but the bolt tolerance is so loose I can’t use the bolt handle to chamber a round. I have to put my thumb behind the bolt to get it to slide forward. Then, after only 8 rounds fired, the extractor sheared off, leaving a casing stuck in the barrel. When I removed the bolt and barely pushed on the leftover piece of the extractor, it flew off the gun along with the spring and ball bearing. Not happy with this firearm by any means! Buyer beware!!!
