I’ve had a Savage long range hunter for about 10 years in 300 Win Mag and love the rifle but it was time to find a new stock, barrel etc... after researching the cost of cleaning up the rifle I came across this model, bought it and sold the LRH.
The bolt handle makes cycling super fast, the magazine is an amazing improvement over the previous half metal/plastic mags Savage previously shipped with detachable mag models! To top that off, a heavy, fluted and threaded 5/8-24 barrel, you just won't find that for sub 600 dollar price range on any other brand. I waited to write a review until after the rifle has been to the range a few times and had at least a 100 rounds through it, happy to report zero issues!
