The adventure and romance of America’s Old West are imbedded in its distinctive 20-inch octagon barrel, straight-grip American walnut stock with brass buttplate and brass barrel band. The solid top brass receiver features side ejection. The overall length is 38½ inches and this powerhouse weighs in at 8.68 lbs.
A nice 19th century touch is the use of a fully adjustable Marble semi-buckhorn rear sight with white diamond insert and brass beaded front sight. The Big Boys have the smoothest actions of any centerfire lever action rifles on the market today. They work beautifully to give you competition shooters a leg up in any event you take part in.
I have owned Winchester and Marlin Levers. Won a Henry in a drawing, shot it and I was hooked! Just bought a Big Boy Silver to hunt with. When I opened the box, it was so dang gorgeous, I ordered a case hardened version for hunting. My Big Boy Silver might never get fired by me anyways.
Henry is like no others. The quality is perfection. Their beauty is stunning. I could have bought the Rossi and saved $200, or I could have bought the Marlin for over $100 more. I'm sure glad I made the correct decision and bought another Henry. I own a 22 Magnum as well and both are flawless. Fun to own and shoot. Nothing shoots like a Henry!
This rifle is absolutely stunning. The fit and finish are absolutely top notch. The Missouri Walnut Stock is perfect in every way.
The rifle was delivered in rapid time.
I have not shot it yet. Do not know if I will or not, it's just too dam nice.
It feeds 357 magnum and 38 special perfectly with no hesitation or glitchs. The action is smooth and quick, just a lever throw and it ejects the old cartridge and chambers the next round. It goes well with my Ruger 357 Magnum Blackhawk pistol.
Now considering getting the 44 magnum version, if nothing else but to keep the 357 company in the gun safe.
