I had been wanting to pick up this gun package with the scope since I had shot my brother in laws last year. It performed well for me so my expectations were high for this gun. Cosmetically the gun looks very good. Mechanically it works well but the bolt sticks just a little when you lift it up to eject the shell. My thinking is it will loosen with more use. I took it to the range to sight in and I don't remember whether it advertised as having been bore sighted but if it was they did a poor job of that. It was 6 in out at 20 yds out of the box. Nothing a good set of bags on a bench and a few rounds at the range could not fix. Last group of 3 put 2 in the bullseye touching each other and a flyer shooter error 1 in left. Still this gun will shoot better than I will I'm sure. Trigger feel was good and I am a fan of the accu trigger set up on this, they send an adjustment tool but I found it to work just fine out of the box for me. PROBLEM- The only problem with the order is that it shipped without covers for the scope adjustments. I have contacted sportsmans outdoor and they said they would contact savage and have them sent to me. They had me take pictures of the missing parts and email them to them. We will see what happens and how long it takes. I will update this review when I receive the caps. My ratings would have been higher without this bit of annoyance. Evidently savage has a history of this happening.
