I own several 22 mag rifles but this is one of my favorites. I have never owned a Savage that wasn’t a tack driver. It’s hard for me to believe the price of this little rifle….free shipping from Sportsman Outdoor Super Store and with tax and FFL fee total price just a little over $300. I mounted a Vortex 3x9x40 DiamondBack on this rifle and what a match. If you’re going to mount a scope on this Rifle you need a Vortex Pro Series Low. If you use a Weaver Gland Slam you will need a High Mount. I have both but decided on the Vortex. I absolutely love this rifle… Savage is engraved on the forearm of this laminate stock which is very attractive. Can’t go wrong with the price of this rifle.
The rifle performed flawlessly, shot every round without a miss fire. All I can say the magazine on this rifle SUCKS!! Hey Savage, build a better magazine for this rifle!
