(5 out of 5) Perfect EDC for CCW
by from Boise, ID on

This is my EDC, I have a few other I use as backup, but I never leave without my Hellcat. I was trained as a state correctional officer, shooting Glocks for a sidearm. I grew to love the Glock, but the fit, feel and finish of the Hellcat is superior in my opinion, at least in terms of a concealable carry weapon that maintains capacity. I have never had a misfire in the Hellcat, running various grades of ammunition, from +p hot loads to plinking, cheap ball ammo. Accuracy, even with the flush magazine, is great because the pistol is a natural shooter. It feels heavier in hand than it looks, but carrying it doesn’t feel heavy. I forget it’s there! The weight of the firearm contributes to recoil management`;` I’ve fired other pistols trying to find the right fit for EDC needs capacity, power, concealment, comfort and the Hellcat Beats all. Aftermarket support isn’t as good as the XD line, but I found it easier to conceal and carry the Hellcat than the XD Mod 2 also bought that from SOSS: it’s thinner and prints less - i should say it doesn’t print at all, but I’ve also extended the magazines to 14 rounds in my case. Using the flush mag, unaltered, the gun doesn’t print in any holster I’ve tried. My one complaint: as of yet I can’t find a threaded barrel, so I’d suggest you consider the threaded model when it’s in stock if you plan on running muzzle devices. Otherwise, it’s actually perfect as-is, in my opinion. The trigger is comparable to me to a Glock, I get good groupings at the range and I’m not a trigger snob. I love the pistol, if you can’t tell.
