These pistols may come with either a Crimson Trace Red Dot or a Riton Optics Red Dot.
The new CPX Red Dot Series incorporates a Red Dot to the ever popular concealed carry pistol. The CPX Series retains backup iron sights but allows the user to focus on the target by utilizing a red dot. These small concealable pistols offer value and features to the user that has never been seen before.
In a world full of life-threatening events, the SCCY CPX-1 is with you every step of the way. The SCCY CPX-1 is loaded with features you might expect to find in a pistol costing twice as much, including a natural stainless steel finished with ceramic abrasion, producing a durable, non-reflective satin finish. SCCY’s are ideal handguns to shoot on the range, back-ups to full sized guns, and primary weapons for home and self-defense.
The SCCY CPX-1 comes equipped with a manual safety.
Firearm Features
- Barrel: Machined from bar stock with 7 lands and grooves having a 16-1 right hand twist.
- Receiver: 7075-T6 aircraft grade heat treated aluminum alloy, machined from bar stock.
- Slide: Heat treated 416 Stainless Steel available with Black Nitride Finish.
- Grip/Frame: Made from Zytel polymer, with ergonomic finger grooves and an integral “RE-COIL CUSHION” on the back-strap.
- Recoil Spring System: All steel, fully encapsulated for ease of disassembly and reassembly.
- Slide Lock/Release: Steel with a Zytel over molded polymer extension for ease of operation.
- 3 Dot Sight System: Steel rear sight, adjustable for windage only with locking screw.
- Hammer Firing System: Double-action only, internal hammer with inertial firing pin to prevent accidental discharge if dropped.
- Manual Guarded Safety: Newly designed with a guard molded into the frame.
- Double-Action Trigger: Specifically designed for shooter comfort and accuracy by designing the system to have a smooth effortless, consistent 9 pound trigger pull.
- Trigger Guard Lock: Custom designed to properly fit and be child resistant. Includes 2 keys.

This is a very nice little shooter that comes well equipped for under 400 bucks. The Crimson Trace 1500 Red Dot is excellent for shooting and personal defense. I wanted a lighter trigger so I did a little research and found that MCarbo had a good kit to lighten the pull weight to right around 3-31/2 lbs. Thats what my Lyman gauge reads when I pull with it attached on this double action only setup. Its a little more involved than putting in the springs on the CPX-2 because you have a safety involved with the CPX-1 which I prefer. But, if you follow along with the video on installing the springs you will get them done right. The pull is very smooth`;` even with the full weight which is between 8-9lbs. If you plan on using for your CCW the addition of the 20 dollar spring kit is necessary in my opinion. It makes it a whole bunch nicer to shoot at the range also. I fit this one into a nice belt pouch as well as an extra mag of ammo.
