Taurus expands its noted G-Series line of polymer-frame, striker-fired pistols with the next-generation G3c compact 9mm.
In planning the newest model in the G - series of compact handguns, Taurus engineers were guided by two key objectives: retain and refine the key attributes which have made the G2c so popular with shooters and everyday carry practitioners while integrating new features designed to enhance overall performa nce, durability, and customization potential. The new G3c delivers on all fronts.
The G3c upgrades begin with the slide. The standard rear serrations are now accompanied by serrations at the front of the slide to provide a more tactile surface area for more positive grip. This makes slide manipulation and press checks easier regardless of operating style or hand size. A visual chamber indicator replaces the mechanical indicator found on the G2c, reducing parts and streamlining the slide profile.
To provide longer wear resistance and better corrosion protection from environmental conditions, the G3c slide is treated with a proven Tenifer finish. The Tenifer finish delivers more robust surface integrity to minimize scuffing and maximize corrosion resistance.
Standard on the G3c are all-steel front and rear sights (instead of the polymer sights included on the G2c) that are designed to withstand the rigors of daily carry. The rear sight is serrated to reduce glare and quicken sight picture acquisition, while drift adjustability allows the shooter to fine-tune the point-of-impact.
All these features continue with the new G3c model but with an added performance upgrade. Scallops are now included with G3c magazine extension. These are designed to assist in tactical magazine changes should dust or grit prevent the magazine from dropping freely when depressing the mag release.
Speaking of the magazines, the G3c comes standard with three 12-round magazines. 15 & 17 round magazines will also be available for customers who desire even higher capacity.

Great gun for a great price. Very smooth and fast transaction. Received gun in two days with no issues.
I was initially very disappointed because it would not reliability feed defensive ammo. The edge of the hollowpoints would catch on the mag well & never make it up the feed ramp. It was as though the barrel was not rearward enough while the slide was open. I tried to do a break in of 300 rounds, polish the feedramp, & use a stainless guiderod & spring. Tried several quality defensive brands, 115, 124, & 147grs. I sent it back for repair. The return took a few weeks & paperwork said that they adjusted the trigger bar. I cleaned it up again & now it will not fail. I'm completely satisfied with the repair. The mags are super tight so get yourself a Maglula to load them with. The trigger has a long take up but is smooth with a nice crisp break. The reset is very short & noticeable. I love shooting it now. I haven't had to use the double action restrike yet but it is a Godsend for dry fire training. What started off on the wrong foot ended up as a sweet pistol at any price.
