Taurus is really producing quality firearms and this th40 is no exception. Sportsman’s shipped quickly to my fll. I cleaned the gun and put 100 rounds of Winchester 180 gr service grainbrown box. Not one problem. Sights were right on. Surprisingly the recoil was almost equal to a 9mm of equal size. Could not be more pleased. This is a reliable gun for a very fair price.

You cannot I repeat you cannot get more bang for your buck then you can with this gun fired over 300 times gave me no problem whatsoever. Sportsman's shipped my package fast. The best deal I can get. Sportsman's is the best.

I wanted to try a 40 S&W and not spend too much. The TH40 fit the bill. I have put 150 rounds through it with zero issues and the Novak sights were right on. Recoil is similar to a micro 9mm but not too snappy. Accurate delivery to the intended target. The trigger in DA is gritty but after the first shot the SA is nearly 1911ish. The controls are large and easy to use. This is a large gun and I would have trouble trying concealed carry. I see this as a home defense or service weapon in a outside carry holster. Taurus is now making reliable and affordable firearms. My experience has been excellent and I am considering the 9mm compact model for CC.

The TH40 is a well-designed high-capacity semi-automatic pistol. It needs to be run in with a couple hundred rounds to smooth out the tightness/stiffness of the double action trigger and other moving parts, but for the money, it is truly an amazing value! I intend to use my TH40 in a multi-role capacity—e.g. target/recreational shooting, home defense, and as my outback/great outdoors carry and general travel gun. I will continue to use my other brand compact .40 for EDC/personal protection. Overall, I am quite impressed with the TH40 full-size pistol, and I do not regret my purchase on any level.
