As a collector, this model has been on my list for awhile but I kept delaying knowing the supply was plentiful. Covid changed all that. This gun arrived today at my FFL in great condition. The action is butter smooth. The barrel is in great shape. The furniture is in surprisingly good shape. After seeing the picks online I was expecting alot of work on the furniture and finish but its in great shape. Overall great purchase.
Great self and home defense weapon
I received a beautiful 870, only a few light marks which just appeared to be normal wear - action is smooth and internals are super clean!
I got mine is mint condition. light scratches, no rust, clean barrel. Serial is dated 92. My only complaint is this gun would have only been 300 bucks a year ago. Lets hope Remington can pump out more of these bad boys in the future.
Mine looked to have had a couple hundred rounds through it by the looks of the internals. The parkerized finish was in very good shape. A little wear on the mag tube from the action. If it weren't for some rust under the night sights I would have kept it as is. I stripped everything to have a fresh Cerakote finish put on and refinished the furniture myself with Tru-Oil. There were minor scuffs in the wood which sanded out completely. After a new set of tritium sights it looks brand new. I could not be happier.
Retired police officer and have been wanting an 870 for a while. When I finally decided to purchase, I could not find one. Found this ad and ordered 4-9-21. It arrived at local gun shop 4-23-21. Was expecting the worst looking shotgun in the picture but got one that looked like the best one. Some surface rust and stock is dirty but I expect it to clean up nicely. Does not show signs of being used much. Yes I spent a lot of money but I am very happy with my purchase.
Received 870 in used but very good condition. A few blemishes but overall very good condition. The trigger assembly had very limited use. I estimate less than a box of shells through it. My shotgun included the two point strap. I removed it and put a spacer in between the receiver and the stock for a single point sling. Added a side saddle and this puppy is a fighting machine. Ran a two day fighting shotgun course and it performed flawlessly.
Extremely happy with my purchase. At the beginning, I thought it was too good to be true, and I even thought it was another scam. Then, I called to confirm the purchase, and it was one of the very best customer service calls I have ever had. The lady was very professional, friendly, helpful, and yet a bit informal, making it a very enjoyable call. She confirmed my order and even confirmed that there were enough Rem-870 to satisfy my order. Lady, I do not remember your name. It was my pleasure talking to you. Thanks! Now to the Rem-870. It is a very clean, good shape, well maintained, beauty of a shotgun. Even the FFL was very impressed with the overall excellent conditions of this Rem-870.
