I'm quite satisfied with the new 4" Shield Plus model. I like the added capacity mags, I like the trigger. The reasons that I don't give it a 5 rating are for its sights and lack of manual safety. The fiber optic sights are terrible, will have to change them to white dot night sights. The safety is optional, this model just didn't come with them. Safeties are a personal preference, not a deal-breaker. I love the 4" barrel, but I am putting a Crimson Trace Laserguard laser on it. And you just cant find a holster for the 4" barrel, and laser, yet. Overall, its a great gun, just hate the fiber optic sights, they add nothing to the gun for me, that's just that my opinion.
