(4 out of 5) Handy little knife, horrible sheath
by James from Flushing, MI on May 21, 2026

I was looking for a handy little knife for a combination of kitchen and outdoor use, and this is a great knife for both. I have used it in the kitchen for dicing and slicing various things and have used it for small outdoor tasks, and it has worked great for those purposes. I have not yet used it for skinning small game, which is part of what the knife is designed for. I love the knife, but due to the sheath it came with, I can only give 4 stars. The sheath is basically worthless and unsafe for normal usage. It has virtually no retention whatsoever. About all that it is good for is covering the blade for storage. I would not use the sheath to carry the knife like you normally would on a belt or attached to paracord around the neck. I am waiting to hear back from Benchmade about the sheath and have purchased a third-party replacement for the time being. TLDR: fantastic knife, horribly unsafe sheath.
