Product Description
The Winchester Model 70 Extreme in 6.5 PRC caliber is a field-ready bolt-action rifle that continues the legacy of precision and reliability since 1936. Known as the benchmark for bolt-action rifles, the Model 70 features a forged steel receiver with a flat bottom profile for enhanced bedding surface and stability. It includes the classic 3-position safety, easily operated by the thumb, which lifts the firing pin away from the sear for added security.
Its Controlled Round Feed (CRF) bolt design uses a massive claw extractor to maintain full control of the cartridge from magazine to ejection, ensuring smooth and reliable feeding and extraction. This design also allows for safe extraction of an unfired cartridge that isn’t fully chambered.
Built for accuracy, the Model 70 Extreme has a free-floating, button-rifled barrel finished in durable Tungsten Gray Cerakote and topped with a muzzle brake to reduce recoil. The M.O.A. Trigger System offers world-class three-lever precision for a crisp, consistent trigger pull. The rifle comes with a TrueTimber VSX synthetic stock by Bell & Carlson, featuring a comfortable length of pull and a digital camouflage finish optimized for rugged environments.
